He actually tries (does more often than not) to do what he says he will do as POTUS in his rallies... And the Dems just try to forget about how great our economy was when he was our POTUS.

I don’t have feelings one way or the other about Cheney as a person. Don’t really care. My biggest beef with her is that she is an elected representative and those constituents are overwhelmingly opposed to the role she took on with the Jan 6. She can be horrified by what she believe happened, but in the end she is there as a collective voice of her district, and she’s known all Along her people are 70/30 against what she is espousing. It’s not about what she believes. Her decisions and actions are supposed to be about what her constituents want and believe.

A memeber of congress that represents the will of her district? What a concept!

They backed her because they realized there was no way a real Democrat could be elected to either the House or Senate from Wyoming and if the state was to be represented by a conservative Republican they preferred one who had the independence to support the Constitution and rule of law rather than kowtow to a charismatic con artist who is trying to turn the US into a banana republic.

Can my fellow conservatives please list the liberal policies that Chaney supports?
(This is not about Trump, but LC.)

What liberal political policies does she support?

And there are some conservatives who believe in the philosophy of Edmund Burke the conservative British political philosopher who believed that while giving a great deal of weight to the wishes of his constituents and his party a representative never ought to sacrifice his principles. A representative driven by principle. What a concept!
To deliver an opinion is the right of all men; that of constituents is a weighty and respectable opinion which a Representative ought always to rejoice to hear; and which he ought always most seriously to consider. But authoritative instructions; mandates issued, which the member is bound blindly and implicitly to obey, to vote, and to argue for, though contrary to the clearest conviction of his judgment and conscience; these are things utterly unknown to the laws of this land, and which arise from a fundamental mistake of the whole order and tenour of our constitution.
Edmund Burke on Representative Democracy - Wikipedia

“Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgement; and he betrays you instead of serving you if he sacrifices it to your opinion.” –Edmund Burke, Speech to the Electors of Bristol, November 3, 1774

No he is not blind. She is in favor of the American electoral system and respecting the results. I have questions for you but I am pretty sure they would get me a vacation.

Holding Trump accountable is not a policy or legislative issue.

She has the personal integrity to stand up for what is right no matter the cost including her job. If her constituents believed that she should shoot Biden in the head, should she have done that?

So because she doesn’t blow Trump that makes her a Democrat, lol. Jesus, you Trump supporters need to wake up and see the light. Dude is the biggest grifter in American political history. He’s never cared about you and never will.

If all that makes a Republican is unwillingness to go against other Republicans regardless of the situation, I’d say it’s a party basically devoid of principles.

Off-topic. I don't think Burke was ever a slave owner although I guess you can criticize him on that issue for taking an ambiguous position. He opposed slavery and the slave trade in principle but was apparently willing to tolerate it because it was essential to the economy of the British West Indies.

Trump supporters: “He’s so popular! Looks at the crowds he gets!”

Yet he lost the popular vote to both Hillary and Biden easily both times he ran. Must not be that popular. And it’s hilarious that’s the logic you use for why he is a good president.
