Would be a huge pull out of Georgia’s back yard. My guess is they will be very aggressive here. What a nice finish to a great DL class.
What about Keon Keeley? He will take some visits during the season, and I do believe the Gators are on that list...
Not so fast... we don't have that last crew of incompetent recruiters on our team anymore. And it's the Bama people that said Keon would be taking a visit to the Gators, as well as their team, this coming season.
Do you see us finishing with two from 247s top DL ? 247 DL rankings Collins 6th Parker 12th Leblanc 13th Hall 16th Norman 21st Searcy 23rd James 28th Hill 39th Mcdonald 42nd
We'll know more if Keon does in fact de-commit from Notre Dame first... I hear they have a no visit policy for committed players. He'd first have to de-commit to take official visits. I think we have a good chance to get him to Gainesville for an official if he de-commits.
We have had a few high level DL commit and as part of an entire class were impressive. But never a class with 4 SDEs and 3 DTs, all high caliber.
Do we really need 4 SDEs or is staff just building something big? It's incredible that they were able to do recruit a large class. I hope they all sign. In 2019 bama took 7 DL, had recruited well cycles before that, and have taken 5(?) every cycle since. The other thing that seems likely is that 2 of the SDEs become DTs when needed.
I don’t believe we need 4 SDE, but like you said, some will grow, some will wash out. Heck, it’s only one position. Maybe they have different packages in mind to take advantage of that size/skill set. Take as much talent as we can, especially on the lines imo.
