Hmmm, interesting. It’s almost like this was easy to predict when you have morons running under your platform that most educated people will see right through. So much for that “red wave.”
I think they just need to lean more into talking about gutting Social Security, Medicare, etc. That'll help them!
That can't be right! According to Bannon the gop will sweep the dems away and install a maga regime what will last a thousand years!
That's an interesting take. Will be interesting to see if the Democrats can overcome generic ballot tightness to pull it off.
Don’t get all butt hurt just because he doesn’t say the company line you love to hear on a daily basis from right wing media.
... and Rick Scott getting elected to high positions in government is Exhibit B ... Trump is Exhibit A ...
You can always tell when Rick Scott is caught lying, his lips disappear when he smiles. Never trust a MAGA politician with no lips and bad hair.
I don't know if the GOP is in trouble. Republicans control most governorships and state legislatures. The one-termer who lost the popular vote twice still got 3 Justices on the Court. Republicans are favored to win the House. The Democrats are only slightly favored to hold the Senate. And frankly, I see no reason for Democrats to feel great about 2024. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer; perhaps pessimism is a coping mechanism, lol.
I still think the R's take the house but it will be a red ripple, not a red wave. I said earlier they would take the Senate but I don't believe that now. D's might actually pick up a seat.
And in a former life he was the CEO of a company assessed the largest fine for Medicare fraud in the history of the program. Gov. Rick Scott took responsibility? No, he took $300 million
My encounter with Rick Scott maybe 8 years ago. I’m in Tampa from TX on a brief contract work gig. We are at port of Tampa. I’m observing inventory counts of rusty rebar. A very high value added task with immense complexity. Then some guy comes around and says governor Scott is coming and we all need to gather round. So maybe 20-30 of us gather in a circle (mostly Tampa port workers) and we see 2 black high end SUV’s blazing in at about 90 mph. They stop get out with a flurry of activity setting up cameras and then he starts shaking hands round the circle. He gets to me. Two taller than average middle aged bald guys looking at each other. He says something to the effect: “Where are you from” “I live in TX, but I’m from FL” “Why did you leave ?” “For a job” “I hope you come back” “We’ll see” I briefly pondered giving a longer story but quickly realized neither he nor I really cared enough for me to do so. He did that with about 10 more people in the circle, then they loaded up the SUVs and they headed out 90mph out of the port. He may have been there 5-10 minutes. Pretty pointless exercise. I’m guessing it was probably this New Port Tampa Bay jobs touted by Gov. Rick Scott aren't actually that new
