New York Fed's Manufacturing Survey Shows Second Worst Crash Ever (breitbart.com) Shhh! Don't tell White House as they will be upset. Philadelphia is next.
it's missing high UE. It is weird. & aggressively fighting inf does tend to increase UE. God knows we could use a bit more UE...labor mkts are too tight. It seems very unlikely that we can crack inf w/o UE moving to at least 4.5% or so.
We’ve been in a recession for months now. I’m still not sure if it’s gonna be a quick one or if this slow death thing is gonna just crawl to the bottom. Either way its a strange one early on.
Let’s be real here. Biden has, unilaterally: - Stomped out covid - solved unemployment - pretty much eliminated the budget deficit - and now has stopped inflation dead in its tracks. We are well on our way within a matter of months, maybe weeks, due to his legislation, - Fixing infrastructure - eliminating climate change. - eliminating gun violence - healing all wounded vets - eliminating our dependence on overseas chips This dude is very powerful. Criticize him at your peril.
Top 10 baby! And the Yankees are slumping and the Rays are back on track! And did you see that TD that Trask threw the other night? All Uncle Joe man!
Not when we are at the highest inflation in 41 years but like Biden has screwed up everything he has touched, he will screw this up and Obama agrees.
And the Gators have 20 commitments with 18 4 stars; Grantham and the former lazy staff is gone! And the Dolphins have Tyreke Hill!
The better question is do we want persistently high inflation hurting those in the bottom half of the economy the most for the longest period of time, or do we prefer a bump in unemployment to 5-6% or so to flush out some demand from the economy and restoring price stability. Granted, low wage workers are often the first to go but there are strong indications it may be white-collar workers getting the axe at a faster clip this time. There’s already been significant firings and hiring freezes in the tech sector. Unfortunately, housing has to take a hit as well for inflation to really cool.
