And liberal elitism strikes again. Always smarter than everyone.

Like I said. Keep playing that strategy.

If that ever happened I will be the first to admit I was wrong. But in the much higher likelihood that it never happens that way, will you admit you were wrong?

No. I am just aware enough to know that as I said in 2020 our constitution will stand and this country has no appetite for a dictator.

Trump already lost some military support, no chance they would back his "dIcTaToRsHiP"

Trump is losing big money donors and his base isnt as strong as it was in 2016. No way conservatives in general would support his "dIcTaToRsHiP".

I know that a noisy minority are doing things when the chips arent down, but Trump doesnt have the military, he has a minority of Americans and many of his own loyalists have turned on him.

That isnt the best strategy for a "dIcTaToR" .

Yet. He is the still odds on favorite to be the GOP nominee.

Let us know when that changes or a majority of a political party (not just a few crazies) are still pushing Trumps horseshit. If he wins again there are ZERO checks and balances and people will die as a result.

Quite the spin, based only on wishful thinking. Per the latest poll 56% of Repubs want Trump to be the Republican nominee for president in 2024. Does that not disturb you?

And I get that. But were you one of them predicting he wouldn't leave office on inauguration day? Because we had people here equally as emphatic that never owned it.

    Trumps base is shrinking.

The republican party is shrinking and he is a reason.

It doesn't yet. It also means roughly 3/4 of Americans do not.

What does the military do if Trump loyalists in swing states with new Trump-friendly election laws throw out sufficient Biden (?) votes to declare Trump the winner and, as a result of throwing out Biden (?) votes, submit Trump electoral votes sufficient to win the election?

What dictator didnt have the military in his pocket?

Every effort he tried. Court etc, all failed in 2020. How is he suddenly going to flip the coin?

Well it really should disturb you. It's sad that it doesn't.

    Sad? Stop being melodramatic.
It doesnt bother me because the election isn't tomorrow. If that support exists during the primaries i'll be concerned.

I'll be trying to swing every vote away from that clown that I can.

Regardless, an unhealthy old man, who lacks any charisma and cant speak with any skill, with no military support and only about 1/4 of the country wanting him to be POTUS as of this moment doesnt bode well for his plans as a dictator.

That isnt exactly the MO of dictators that we have seen previously.

So you figure it would be no big deal because Trump doesn't have the military? If Trump were to steal the election in 2024 it wouldn't matter what the courts say or what the military does. You figure Trumpers and Republicans would accept the courts overturning a Trump 'win'.

I just demonstrated what could happen. Since 2020, several states have put partisan GOP state legislatures in charge of elections.

You'll have the partisan legislature in Georgia overseeing the election, not officials like Raffensperger, who was relieved of his duties because he was honest and resisted Trump bullying in 2020. So, they can cheat to ensure Trump wins and claim they are consistent with new State law. They clearly don't want a repeat of 2020 when the actual vote count determined the winner.

Prospect of Georgia election takeover fuels concerns about vote integrity

"In a worst-case scenario, critics of Georgia’s new voting law fear it could be used to take over county election boards and install politically motivated administrators with the power to subvert results in next year’s races."

We also haven’t had a national election since 2020. I hope you’re correct and nothing to worry about. We’ll get a good idea during midterms. But these ongoing threats to election officials and trump-like candidates refusing to accept the will of voters if they lose is all troubling. Many dictators didn’t have to use a military coup but they came up thru the political ranks. and then put their people in key positions.

“One of the worst things Trump has done is to show many other aspirants how to engage in power politics using unethical steps. Between his unorthodox behaviors challenging the legitimacy of the 2020 results and his continuing efforts to push Republicans in illiberal directions, he has become a role model for many candidatesaround the country. Rather than seeing Trump as a dangerous demagogue who threatens our democratic system, many Republican candidates are mimicking his tactics”

Trump is not the only threat to democracy

No, it would be no big deal because the courts would throw it out and everyone would accept it and be happy. At least that's what Tilly tells us.

Well, so far I've been right. What were the court scoreboard results last time?

The metastasizing right learned and adapted. Again I refer you to the hamstrung GOP primary elections in Pennsylvania being held up by one lunatic.

What you're missing is that the 2024 election may not be normal, with the actual vote counts in each State determining the winner. Since the 2020 election, the GQP and Trump zealots have been . . . .

    1. terrorizing election workers so they can replace them with Trump loyalists

    2. targeting higher up elected election officials so they are replaced with Trump loyalists

    3. changing state laws to give election oversight responsibilities to partisan state legislatures with Trump loyalists

    4. passing hundreds of voter suppression laws

    5. establishing election police to monitor (intimidate) voters

With cheating in a few of these swing states. Trump could lose the popular vote by 15 million and still "win" the election on paper.

I've discussed this in two previous posts going into further detail.
