The claim that poster made was “Trump voters have done more damage”, the claim was not “every Trump voter is a terrorist”.

Only a certain set of them are terrorists or wannabe terrorists. Yet everyone involved at this point looks the other way, giving indirect support. Do you think this is different from the power structure of the Taliban, the Soviet’s, the Nazi’s or any other evil political movement throughout history? There are always those committing the actual acts, there are the propagandists who lie for them, and there are those providing passive backing (for… reasons).

Correct. They are voting against the Enlightenment ideal that was our national identity in favor of blood and soil nationalism. At the core, they fundamentally hate the United States as legally constituted, and are willing to burn it down unless they control the country.

Yes, they have, in a more fundamental and lasting way. Fair elections and the peaceful transfer of power are the bedrock of our democracy. To attack and destroy those is to destroy democracy itself. What the Japanese and Taliban did is child’s play in comparison.

While you quibble over semantics, our democracy is (not so) slowly being destroyed from within by Trump, cowardly GQP sycophants and, yes, those who voted for him and continue to support him despite the LIES, ANGER, HATRED, and VIOLENT RHETORIC that he and his minions spew every day. The damage to our democracy is far worse than a terrorist attack. I think it’s fair to say Trump voters as a whole, because by and large they also agree with The Big Lie, The Witch Hunt, and a host of other Trump conspiracy theories and enabling activities. Now… do I think that all people who voted for Trump are bad? Of course not.

Those in the Trump cult love Trump unequivocally because he tells them what they want to hear and goes after the people they hate. And they've come to realize they can't win politically anymore in our democracy without cheating. So, they love Trump even more because they know he's willing to cheat to win.

In short Trump personifies their hatred of today's America and will lead them to glorious autocracy where the people and things they hate will be crushed.

It strikes me more that the Republican Party has abandoned all sense of ideals.

Its a cult that seems to spend more time lying to protect Trump, or lying to create social divides which benefit them politically. It all rather falls apart when instead of honest debates, the only move is to agitate an ignorant mob with LIES. This is what Trump has wrought.
