You are. The DOJ conducted a search based on probable cause in a matter of national security. They did it discretely and without animus ("without fear or favor" -- Garland). But somehow you imply the FBI showed poor political judgement by being apolitical, which is traditionally their mantra. btw... what does "suspect behavior of the DOJ and the FBI in the intervening days" mean?
That's not me. I can give you all sorts of bad things about Trump. I draw the line at saying stupid things about Trump.
Trump sent cryptic message to Merrick Garland before warrant was unsealed: 'The country is on fire. What can I do to reduce the heat?'
Simply retaining classified information or carrying it home is a crime and has been prosecuted in the recent past and the guilty have been sentenced to prison. 18 USC 793e in the Time of Shadow Brokers and Donald Trump - emptywheel The two men in question, Nghia Pho and Hal Martin, were prosecuted under 18 USC 793e, likely the same part of the Espionage Act under which the former President is being investigated. Pho (who was prosecuted by Thomas Windom, one of the prosecutors currently leading the fake elector investigation) pled guilty in 2017 and was sentenced to 66 months in prison; he is processing through re-entry for release next month. Martin pled guilty in 2019 and was sentenced to 108 months in prison. Outside DOJ, pundits have suggested that Trump’s actions are comparable to those of Sandy Berger, who like Trump stole files that belong to the National Archives and after some years pled guilty to a crime that Trump since made into a felony, or David Petraeus, who like Trump took home and stored highly classified materials in unsecured locations in his home. Such comparisons reflect the kind of elitist bias that fosters a system in which high profile people believe they are above the laws that get enforced for less powerful people. And while Trump allegedly brought home paper documents, rather than the digital files that Russian hackers could steal while sitting in Moscow, that doesn’t make his actions any less negligent. Since he was elected President, Mar-a-Lago became a ripe spying target, resulting in at least one prosecution. And two of the people he is most likely to have granted access to those files, John Solomon and Kash Patel, each pose known security concerns. Trump has done the analog equivalent of what Pho did: bring the crown jewels to a location already targeted by foreign intelligence services and store them in a way that can be easily back-doored. Like Pho, it doesn’t matter what Trump’s motivation for doing so was. Having done it, he made it ridiculously easy for malicious actors to simply come and take the files.
Interesting. Is he asking to “reduce the heat” from the FBI investigation in exchange for Trump not fanning the flames from his followers? quid pro quo?
Do we really have to debate anything Trump does or is? Is anyone that supports Trump worthy of a single attempt at reality? I swear there was a time that idiots were simply acknowledged as being such and set aside. There has not been one thing about Trump or his cult that deserves a logical or common sense discussion. Just vote and end this "Dumb and Dumber" crusade by the lot of them. I think we have all tired of the show.
The warrant was not a general warrant. That is a laughable legal principle. It described what was being searched for and provided locations
You know something..i am not alone on this board of finding your posts as being ignorant, childish, stupid, boring, assinine, lacking of humanity, empathy, thought, intelligence. Makes one wonder what drives your pitiful attempt at hiding your feminity. Here is to hoping we never meet in person because you have a lot of explaining to do. FYI. My family and i are doing well these days, back in Florida, kids excelling in school, wife and I pursuing our careers. Thank you to all that made this happen. Of course FLgator2 prefers everyone to take a course in suffering..By the way, you may not believe this (of course you wont) but we have given back to far more people than you ever will, with spontaneous gifts as a humble reminder of what was done for us. As a Muslim i dont feel it necessary to portray those acts with specifics but do know this..We will and do,sacrifice our money, food and time to anyone in need without questionong their beliefs etc. as an act of belief in those we cross paths with. Grow up and check yourself before life pays you the price you deserve from your far from coherent words.
Is that the same Trump who pored gasoline on the fire? Or to use another metaphor the Donald sounds a lot like arsonist who seems suddenly concerned about the fire that he ignited.
Lol, threatening me that we never meet in person. I could careless what you and any one thinks of me. Most on here know what type of person you are. Truth stings a bit don't it.
I agree with flgator2. I always found your posts fowl and nasty, and when you were begging for money to get you out of that toilet you called home and back to the good ole USA I couldn't believe folks were actually donating to get you out of the mess you created for yourself.
Islamic terrorists, organized crime bosses, Russian and Chinese spies and financial con artists are most likely in agreement with MTG. Come to think of it some of those descriptors also apply to the former president.
Look who is displaying the hatred and anger. I can't get away with the trash talk and bull crap you do because there is a double standard around here so I won't directly call you an Idiot, but you know what you are.
