Why do people blame gas prices on Presidents?

Shouldn't this thread be more like, "Why do people blame my favorite president for the high gas prices?"

 

Never heard of it. But the writing is so poor it’s claims reminded me if a Nigerian phishing scam email. So my strong inclination is…. bullshit.

 

Plus most newer cars have their own settings. I can’t tell the difference between “eco mode” and “performance mode” anyway while actually driving. Maybe it’s subtle.

A lot of newer cars do seem to try and save fuel in “eco mode” by automatically cutting off the engine when you are at a stop light, then restarting the second you lift off the brake. That’s probably the biggest difference. Also not something you want to do in an older car, even if some device could control it (sounds like this one is just a straight scam).
