The Bama haters on the SECRant are mad that we got Collins to commit to us over them... talking smack about flipping him. They are so pissed. Lol... I love it. And there's not one fan Gator there to tell them that they act like they own the state of Florida, and they have for some time. However, looks like those days are coming to an end.

Let's continue to recruit all over the south and the country, and steal whomever we want from whichever team we want to take them from. I like the sound of that. Screw Bama.

I'm amazed by all the quality Florida players committing to Napier. If I'm keeping up, Collins is our longest distance recruit. The only one out of the footprint so far. And only the 3rd from outside Florida.

Unrelated but regarding recruiting: I think they down-graded our new QB get from JAX. Thought he was a four star, now he's listed as a three star. Not sure if any of this matters, I was probably confused from the beginning, but we are sure on a roll recruiting. With more to come as well.

I was expecting two or three from Bayou country, given Billy's last stop, but I'm just FINE with what he is doing.

We ALL KNOW that whomever dominates the State of Florida gets a VIP pass to the playoffs.

 

Some of those better informed can weigh in but it seems like this happens a lot. "Oh you committed to Florida? Oops, you were really only a 3-star. You committed to Alabama or the LegHumpers? Well, here's your 5th star young man! Good choice!"

I don't care about his stars. Don't think many do. I like our incoming QB, The Joker. I like the fact he wanted to play at Florida. I especially like the fact his buddy committed too: Mr. Webb, the recruiting magnet!

I remember some saying CBN and staff have no Florida connections but they couldn't have been more wrong when coaches like Coach Raymond recruit nationally and coach Peterson is from Gainesville him self not to mention. I think if a coach has the gift to grab and can sell his vision, he can recruit the state of Florida. It's just a little easier when you are the new face of the flagship university.

Wait until connections build and relationships get deeper. A whole nother level in Gainesville and state recruits.
