McDonald looks like a player. I watched him tonight in a scrimmage against Caleb Downs (Bama) and he was in the backfield a lot.

Downs didn’t do much. Pass interference and a dropped pass on offense.

 

Plus that guy sounds dumb and probably doesn’t know a thing about Collins.

I guess you could move Early Signing Day earlier and drop National Signing Day completely.

 

I'm guessing entrance requirements and eligibility might having something to do with how early a kid can sign though?

 

Another decision weekend is rapidly approaching - I'm excited about UFs chances!

Once a kid clears thru clearing house their junior year they can sign anytime they want early singing period or national signing day I always recommend my players going d1 or d2 to sign early only because coaches get fired or move on and it creates a mess if the new coach doesn’t honor the scholarship offer.

 

Time to freak out about a kid who hasn’t committed to anyone yet. This dude is a Bama fan. If he commits to Bama tomorrow will this still be true with Collins driving the price up for OU or UF? The answer of course not the same dude will be claiming he is locked in.

I'm guessing any propositions people come up with would be illegal in some way but at a minimum I'd like to see a way where a verbal commitment constituted some sort of binding agreement since the schools recruiting them are affected in how they offer going forward. A kid would have to then "officially" decommit in order to have official contact or visits with any other school.

Of course your dirtbag coaches would probably still reach out to them through wtvr methods but at least it would give a school SOME sort of fair shot at developing a strategy for who they recruit going forward. Right now a school can say if you visit elsewhere when you claim to be committed we'll pull your offer but good luck with that.

 

IMO they will not end until the commit forms are signed and acknowledged.

Better expect a flurry of changes unprecedented in recent signing days the last week or two B4 ESD.

These verbal commits are fun to follow and sure, it gives the staff a bit of an edge going forward, but in terms of "binding" it means nothing.

I predict 25-33% commit shifts the last couple of weeks before ESD by everybody, I'm sticking to that prediction. It's gonna be wild!

 

your saying 1/3 of verbally committed plays will flip? I think that is way to high maybe 5% or less is what I'm thinking teams will compete to keep their verbals

 

Hi dad, I base my prediction on cash being thrown around in a desperate attempt by all teams to fill and complete roster spots.

I think thats when NIL will have the most significant impact. I certainly could be wrong of course, and actually hope I am, but the way I see it, the auction really starts that last couple of weeks.
