He was already squarely a democrat for many years prior to 2010. He had some left leaning policies that would make even Bernie Sanders shudder.

So pretty much it's like a guy stealing an expensive ring (or other piece(s) of jewelry) getting caught and then shouting, "But what about that guy who legally purchased his jewelry? Go after him!" Not the greatest analogy, but maybe it makes sense.
This is my thinking too. What possible reason would he have that info other than to monetize it? Some slim chance he didn't know what he had or didn't realize the importance but as he has shown us many times, he is coin operated. So to whom were they intended? Why did jared with no experience get $2bn from the Saudi's, whose money was it really? Who is really buried on the 1st tee at Bedminster? So many questions.
