Perhaps, but are we getting close to congratulations to the arsonist for peeing on the flames? (No idea, thats just one of my favorite analogies. )
Thats beneath my old yard in Punta Gorda. Found it digging when I was a kid. Only I know where. I am going to make a strong offer on that house when I'm 65. Long story short....Your dad's getting those blocks man! (It'll be a while though
We didn't get us in this mess, Bidenflation did. I have already told you Fed Funds rate needs to be raised to 5.75% and we need to drill baby drill to bring the price of oil down but that will never happen as long as Bidenvironment is in office.
The Fed is run by the guy that Trump appointed, and they are independent. So tell us how electing a Republican makes that happen?
Unbelievable. Inflation is still 8.5% which is less than June's 9.1%. The core inflation rate was identical with June at 5.9%. Spin any way you want, the US did not experience 0% inflation in July. The US is still having inflation at a 41 year high. (shaking head) You must have believed every word Joe Biden said at his press conference today. Joe Biden and his advisers have to be the most incompetent to ever serve in the White House: Biden hails July's 'zero' inflation - YouTube Imagine how good that must have felt with Lyin' Biden telling another whopper on national tv. He and his advisers must think the American people are stupid. The only reason we had a decrease in the CPI was because the Biden Administration targeted reducing gasoline by releasing the US SPR to temporarily increase production. They were sitting in the White House trying to figure out how we can best lower inflation a bit and then lie about it. Well, -7.7 gasoline index did fine, finally after 4 months. It'll be interesting to see if that holds up over August and September. I hope not as it is going to screw with my social security COLA and the next 6-month rate on I bonds.
I can't believe you came back, don't you get tired of being wrong? If inflation in July was 0.%, then there was no inflation in July. This can't be that hard to comprehend. I'm starting to feel sorry for you.
People have very patiently explained it to you. We experienced inflation over the last year but not the last month. You are reporting the annual inflation rate (prices, utilizing a weighted average, are 8.1% higher than they were in July 2021). What people explained to you is that there was no inflation in the month of July (an unadjusted and seasonally adjusted 0.0% change in weighted average prices compared to June 2022). He is factually correct. The last month experienced neither inflation nor deflation compared to June 2022. Well, hopefully the American people understand the difference between a month and a year. But there is some evidence to the contrary here. Well that is factually untrue. There was a decrease in the price to used cars, apparel, and transportation services. You really should have read the table you posted. You would find out lots of fascinating things if you had. Like the inflation over the last month was 0.0.
YOY inflation was 8.5%. Month over month, it was at 0%. To say the US didn't experience inflation between June and July of 2022 is accurate. The only way the CPI number for July, 2022 was going to be lower than 8.5% is had there been deflation in July. Prices could've dropped 10% between June and July and we would still have high YOY inflation. That's because a 1 month 10% deflation wouldn't make up for the previous 11 months of inflation.
There was 0% increase on the inflation that existed. That does not mean there was 0% inflation. Practically everything went up except for gasoline and that is only temporary.
BS. More things went up than down. Again, the gasoline is the big one down and that is only temporary. The US experienced the same inflation as June when you look at the core inflation rate which takes out Biden's play with the SPR.
If we had no inflation in July, we had no inflation in June. This is too ridiculous to continue with. (shaking head)
Yes, when talking about month to month results, that does mean there is 0% inflation, which is great sign for the economy, since it's been high for the last several months.
You are taking the one year inflation rate and claiming it all happened in July ... July saw 0% inflation. Deal with it.
No, we had inflation in June. You really should read your own table. The percentage increase in prices in June was 1.3%. In July it was 0.0%. Seriously, read your own links.
Yes, more things went up than down. However, other things went down that, if they went up, would cause inflation. But yes, probably the largest effect was the decrease in energy prices as a whole when weighted by the relative importance in the basket of goods.
Do you not understand the difference between Year over Year and Month over Month? Prices in July 2022 are 8.5% higher than they were in July 2021. That's Year over Year. Month over Month, there was no inflation between June, 2022 and July 2022. Go back in time to June, 2021 and buy something for $1.00. In June, 2022, same item would cost $1.09. In July, 2021, item would cost $1.02, but last month, that item would cost $1.09. 9% YoY inflation in June. 8.5% YoY inflation in July. 0% inflation MoM between June, 2022 and July 2022.
