As crazy as this sounds, I take this as good news. Trump of course started this idiocy himself, but that tells me he thinks he’s getting indicted and is trying to win the court of public opinion early. The problem with trying to convict Trump, even with a solid case, is that it will only take one MAGA zealot on the jury and conviction becomes nearly impossible, even if they have Trump on tape admitting his guilt. And we all know there’s zero chance Trump would cop a plea.

You missed the point. The Praetorian Guard were the secret police of the Roman empire. The Gestapo were the secret police of Nazi Germany, the KGB was the security agency for the Soviet Union......It seems the FBI is becoming the secret police of the Democrat party.
But at what point does our country say enough. At what point is he not above the law. True, his followers are going nuts talking about civil war, shooting people etc. but they would have done that next time they lost an election, the next crime we let him get away with,or the next trump-like candidate. Maybe it’s better to address this now. Trump has caused great harm to our system of gov. Maybe the next gen or two after boomers can get a little integrity back into our gov process. And not blindly follow trump-like demagoguery .
