And that is the problem. Everyone should be able to see what Karen posts. If they don’t want to see what others post and put them on ignore…that is Karen’s prerogative. If someone responds to Karen and they are too weak to read it and dismiss it. They should be able to ignore it. But it really is a bad feature for Gator Country to keep others from seeing what is posted.

Ehh . . . I see it differently. If Karen wants to block someone whose post Karen doesn't wish to read, Karen should be able to do so. And if Karen is removing that person's posts from Karen's vision, that person should not have the ability to see Karen's posts either. Otherwise, the system would be even more flawed than what you suggest.
It is fine for Karen to be weak and unable to skip past reading another post without their feelings being upset. But to keep the context of threads for others we need to be able to see what Karen writes. It really makes the experience crappy to read a post and not fully understand why someone wrote what they did because Karen can’t handle another persons opinion.
Maybe if you didn't write things like so-n-so is "weak," and "can't handle another's opinion," you wouldn't be placed on ignore. That kind of chastising comment won't work with me anyway. After all, I haven't blocked you. Yet
I am calling a spade a spade. If one cannot handle reading a differing opinion. They are weak minded and self centered. The definition of a Karen. You are too strong minded to be a Karen though. Which is a good thing.
I don't taking blocking someone lightly. I've only blocked two posters in 15 years + of being on this site. One of them was the other day, that guy/girl who was just trolling. Buh Bye

You can set it up so any report for that goes into the trash. And at the same time gives the reporter a demerit for being a Karen...
I've been blocked, but never blocked anyone. I wouldn't say that those who block others are "weak minded and self-centered." I know from experience that some simply don't want to get challenged, don't want to read others pointing out their falsehoods. But I imagine others simply don't want to read the posters who have little or nothing to offer other than "everyone on the other side is xxxx."
I've blocked a few on here temporarily (during the ramp up of COVID) just so that threads would look cleaner to me. I eventually unblocked them.
I wonder if there is a guy who blocks the GC insiders because they don't like spoilers for the football season or recruiting
I still dont get why people block other people. If you dont like what someone posts, just scroll past their posts. I also dont get why people care how their posts are rated. Who cares if you get a dislike or a come-on-man. If you're too sensitive, just become a lurker.
