Why am I not surprised. Thousands of Americans have been conned to the point that they think that their Dear Leader should be above the law and beyond that there are a fair number of Republican politicians who know better but are very skilled at manipulating the former.
The house is likely a foregone conclusion at this point, the senate map is not nearly as good for republicans as it was in 20 or as it will be in ‘24, especially running whackadoodles like Lake, Vance, Oz and Herschel Walker.
The chances are that the Dems will lose the House. They can actually pick up seats in the Senate, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin coming immediately to mind.
To be fair, Lake is running for Governor. The Republican Senate candidate in Arizona is Blake Masters, who is on tape talking about how the Unabomber is an underrated political thinker.
Someone serious would predict the number of house seats. Senate will be tight and with normal candidates would be a 53-47 Republican win but it’s likely to be a 49-51 Democratic win.
Well as you can see, @BLING (and I), is seeing a rationale for a different starting place, based on how high the bar is to obtain a warrant like this one. No doubt much of the evidence used to generate probable cause will remain redacted, but I think there’s some good reason not to start with charade as the default assumption. I’m sure we’ll get some info in the coming months.
You've got it. For you to win Dems have to lose both Houses of Congress. If they lose the House and hold the Senate even if it's 50/50 again I win.
