It depends on what the documents are, really.

Trump is an unprecedented buffoon who basically never followed the normal protocol. Would it be any wonder if he “stole” a bunch of govt stuff he wasn’t supposed to? Guy was a huge national security threat and this whole affair perfectly exemplifies that.

I see people saying he could have de-classified them. That is basically true, but… apparently he didn’t. So then the question is what are these documents and why did he choose to take them down to Mar-A-Lago. The question for the “conspiracy theorists” I bet will be why did the government want them back so bad.

He's either power hungry and makes more money than we all know, or he's dumb as a rock to give up that much money. And now... he might end up in jail one day next year, because he's a crooked as they come.

One more time... he is a never Trump-er and NO ONE cares about his political affiliation to the R.I.N.O./N.W.O./W.E.F. anti-American club...

Because the law distinguishes between personal records and official records, and establishes a process for the removal of personal records,

Unfortunately if this was a political hit job and only about archives this will push trump to win the Rep nomination in 24. Sucks but the dems might've handed the presidency to trump.

Democratic should be removed at this point. Socialist Communist Party is 100% accurate. There is nothing democratic or republic in nature with the party in power. This nation is now Venezuela on steroids:

Socialist Communist States of the Banana Republic - Founded July 2016.

Trump is also the one who framed the thing as some kind of a "raid" before anyone else did, he basically broke the story. It's hard to believe the FBI were kicking in doors with weapons out, because they definitely weren't. So who really made it a 'thing' other than the government serving a warrant retrieving some documents?

You're right. It's not about his policies.

I'm far more concerned about Trump's narcissism, authoritarianism and failings as a human being. Trump is intent on destroying our democracy simply because he can't handle losing. He doesn't want to retain power to accomplish anything. He has no agenda to help the American people. None.

How does representing people who worked for Epstein as a private lawyer affect his judgement here? Does it make him unqualified to judge the merits of the application?

Should everyone associated the legal defense of Epstein and his employees be summarily dismissed? Should everyone who willingly socialized with Epstein be summarily dismissed?

Explain it to me like I'm five.

How would they know if he even took anything that was not his?

Sounds like a highly illegal fishing expedition...

There is almost always documents they want from former presidents. Not once in our history has one been raided by 30 FBI agents.
But hey let’s all keep pretending it was just for a document for national archives.

Oh and other reports coming out it was a document already provided to them months ago.

Are you talking about Wray, or Trump? I can't tell. Your statement applies to Trump far more than Wray. And you love to convict anyone who simply disagrees with Trump while having no evidence, yet at the same time exculpate him no matter what he does while simultaneously claiming to support the rule of law. You're a contradiction that goes in circles.

"R.I.N.O./N.W.O./W.E.F. anti-American club" = anyone who disagrees with Trump. It's not even a real thing.

How do you know anything about what they were searching for and what they found? Do you know what the expressed probable cause was?

No. You're clueless as the rest of us as to the merits of this legal search.

A democrat non-appointed by the president and non-approved by the senate magistrate signed off on the search warrant for the DOJ/FBI. I condemn the DOJ/FBI, the US KGB, Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Christopher Wray in the highest possible terms.

If the people weren't galvanized behind Trump before the raid, they are now.

This isn't new-we've known for months he took things that he probably shouldn't have as he even described them as "official records". But you keep doing you.

Raiding Trump without good reason (3 mos before midterms) is about the stupidest political move the DOJ could make, and Wray is anything but stupid

"Cflgator was weak. See how easily he ignited. I could have put him out and not gotten burned. i have the best and furthest pee stream of any president ever. 30 feet when dehydrated. Probably 50 ft when drinking our wonderful Trump water from the Mar-a-lago clubhouse. Best water ever made. Its filtered from the tank we drained the swamp into. Very good water. The best. But no. He was weak. A total loser. Winners dont ignite. His posts were mediocre at best. We need better fireproof republicans. I'll build the biggest and best fireproof republicans that you've ever seen. We will use the stuffing from MyPillow to retard the flames. We will make mexico pay for it! "

Yep, he was arrested, charged, and entered a guilty plea to a crime. I assume you will support the same thing for Trump, right?

Jeez... shouldn't you more information about the application details before passing judgement. You know, like an adult?

The flailing around in the dark by the knee-jerks defending trump is amazing in the absence of an actual fact set. Why are you so emotionally entangled with trump that you can't just cool your heels until more is disclosed?

Did you feel the same way when Manafort received a search warrant?

    It's unhindged.
