I would and we have some great trails to go ride. But time is the issue. Time is valuable and just not willing to give an hour to driving away from the kids. But I agree with you. I would not be able to get in thought like I want to out on the trails. But I certainly could get to a much more valuable place.
I had found it in running of all things lol. I might be able to with tennis but I think that is going to knock me out faster than running. Considering a MRI soon. The twinge pain was there today on my spin which is not a good sign. Can walk normal with no pain level. But as soon as I push to go up or go down on an incline there is a twinge pain that feels like it wants to take me down. It was a solid spin for spinning as I had the F1 documentary on in the background from a few years ago...
i trust that foods with certain substances like sugar (or forms of it) for example, can be taxed at a higher rate depending on the amount.
If they are lying then there should be accountability. Unfortunately they are using the ignorance of people to sell in most cases. And they are really good at it.
I'm not a doctor, but I have had enough surgeries over the years on my right knee to at least be dangerous (a PCL tear, a Lateral Release, a Meniscus tear, and a patellar "shave" to clean things up for maintenance). Where in the knee is the pain when you push (my guess is directly behind the kneecap? Or is it on the side specifically when you turn or cut?
I say people have choices and they can live with them. We do not need the government making more money off of ignorance.
Go to the beach, to a parade, or take a walk to a park. People are getting bigger, way bigger and I think women are leading the way. Hollywood applauds the big woman, says they are respected for declaring themselves big and proud. All these obese out of shape people are going to have some serious health issues as they age. They will go from hey look at me to woe is me, why me. You can be over weight and relatively healthy if you exercise.
Turning and cutting no issues. It is a right on the side of the knee right below the knee cap on the inside of the right knee. No pain at all walking normal. Running impact can cause the twinge. But it is more of an issue when in certain positions. Arthritis is a thought. Tibia shift is a thought. Meniscus issue also a thought. I was playing tennis about three weeks ago and when I planted I felt it. Being a smart male I continued on and was able to still get my runs in for a week and a half. Then we were on vacation. I fought through a 3 mile run that I probably should not have after 4 days off. A couple days later I tried another run and after a mile shut it down. Just knew I needed to stop. Again. Walking level. No issues at all. No limp. Feel nothing. Walking up stairs leading with my left leg nothing. But if I lead with my right the second I put pressure to go up that inside spot right below the knee cap has a twinge that makes me feel like my leg will give out.
That twinge on the "inside of the right knee" sounds similar to an MCL sprain (partial tear) I had. It was right where the ligament attaches to the bone. Fortunately no surgery for that one, but it hurt like hell during rehab. Usually anything with the meniscus will cause things to swell up pretty badly in my experience though the pain you describe going upstairs sounds like you may be right. As I said, I'm not a doc and you're right that an MRI will likely tell you the story. EDIT: Just thought of something that may help. Get yourself a TENS/EMS device. I've used one for years in conjunction with ice and it usually helps with swelling and pain.
He is right. Latest rants on trans fat Just back from a week of hiking and waterfalls. Feeling old. Was amazed at the number of obese older folks. At least they were trying, even though it was vaycay. We typically walk 6 a day, but those are Florida miles not mountain, lol
And how this plays out in the real world is hundreds of billions of dollars get collectively spent yearly (whether insurance, out of pocket, or through taxes) on healthcare due to bad choices.
Yep. People have freedoms and abuse them all day long. That’s the way it works. I’d love to take the freedom away from idiots having children. Some folks should probably be sterile. But we just can’t do it. Seems like other countries work the way you like.
Trader Joe's & Whole Foods (Prime/365) have good pricing, but food prices in general are brutal right now and they will not get better anytime soon.
I am on this clean diet program now that is very hard the first week. I do not take the companies vitamins/herbs, but I do follow the diet. It's basically a 16/8 intermittent fast program and you don't eat foods that are acidic. Here is the lists of good and bad foods. https://support.cleanprogram.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030838792-Excluded-Foods-to-Avoid The theory is that if your body is balanced acid vs. alkaline it keeps you from disease. Acidic bodies are unhealthy bodies. I feel the logic is solid but I'm not a scientist. Anyways, I used to do this once a year when I was younger but got more difficult as I got older. I'm on day 9 now. No alcohol, no medication, no sugar, no copenhagen. Just alkaline foods between 12 and 8pm. I actually juice or have bone broth () for my dinner which is hard. It's truly amazing how clear your heads gets and how much energy have. 21 days. You can't go have a T-Bone and a bottle of red wine on day 22. Got to ease back in to the fun life, so you will be ready for football season. BTW, if you get sick that bone broth recipe will cure you. It's the real deal.
Hate you are fighting cancer. One of the few things in this world I truly hate. Chem did the opposite for me. I went from 195 to 113 in under a year. Not great. I try to stay around 175 but as I get older it is hard we and harder to stay active. Swimming lanes is a huge help. Eating smaller portion through out the day helps .( graze all day and don’t eat a big dinner). Obesity is a massive.. pun intended.. problem in the US. We don’t want to hurt anyones feelings but we also need to address the issue upfront and directly. I see kids in middle school so large they struggle to get up when they fall down. I see parents who can’t sit in a normal chair due to girth. The US spends trillions a year on weight related health issues. We can blame fast food, portion sizes, packaging, refined sugars/carbs… but it comes down to convincing people to live a better life. Not an easier life or a cheaper life but a healthier, longer life. My grandfather was a small time farmer. Ate fried eggs, bacon toast every morning seems like… and more fried food at night. But the man WORKED. All day. Weighed 160 and lived to be 96.
Didn’t the govt say we need like 4 cups of dairy a day???? Seems I remember something like that in the food pyramid when I was a kid. 4 cups a day is way too much. No way govt was in bed with dairy farmers when that food pyramid was made… right…
Depends on the restaurant but oddly enough its true. Happens mostly at Italian, Mexican and Chinese restaurants. Also those big chains usually have too big portions, think Chilis, Applebees etc.
