Both sides are. The screeching from the fringes on both sides have only gotten louder and more insane and that noise has long since drowned out any sounds of reasonability and cooperation from the middle. Seems like every day more more people feel like they "have to pick a team".

While some claim this will enrage republican voters it is actually a huge distraction from their main campaign issue, inflation. If Trump becomes the issue then there’s a better than even chance Democrats keep both Houses of Congress.

LOL! A former President has his house raided and he is the one who wanted it publicized. This was going to be public no matter what. Stop acting like this had any chance of being kept out of the public.

This warrant as good as the fisa orders?
Early reports it was for a document for the national archives. If true, absolutely embarrassing and a dangerous precedent to set. Well that is if you are on the side not in power.
This is the type of stuff they do in communist countries no?

That is a fair point. Yet at this point I do not have much hope this is anything but a charade. There have been enough fake hoaxes made up about Trump at this point that eventually people will start to see past it. But there is a reason that I said I could be wrong...

Classified or not, he has NO authority to move official records (which he has said these are) home with him when he leaves office, as they are required to be turned over to the National Archivist upon expiration of term.

Former Presidents Are Not Allowed to Take Home Official Records - FactCheck.org

Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978
"Establishes that Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office."

I was thinking (for several pages now) that this guy sounded familiar and sounded like an incel with major anger issues. Confirmed!

Remember when the world saw Nancy Pelosi rip-up Trump's SOTU speech... I'm quite sure she is on TV destroying national archival documents.

Oh yeah, then why did most of Clinton's, Bush's and Obama's records end up in their personal libraries/museums? You know that is not a valid excuse to run a secret raid on a former POTUS.

Nah, I can attest that personally his work is done. I left the party in early 2020.

I'm still a conservative, but wont be a republican again at least until he is out to pasture.

Conservatives dont have 3 different wives based on boredom, assault young women back stage at pageants, speak vile things about women in interviews, carry a Bible that they never open, claim they dont need forgiveness for anything, do the opposite of Reagan irt immigration, do nothing to condemn 1/6 while it was happening, use 9/11 to brag about the height of HIS building, bury their ex wife at a golf course for tax purposes, use language to speak of his professional adversaries that I wouldn't speak to my worst enemy, fill the swamp he claimed to drain, and on and on.

Its not about his policies to most of us. We want staunch conservative policy.

Its about the fact that their are a plethora of men and women who would enact the same policies while actually conducting themselves like a real conservative.

Conservative values still appeal to a great number of Americans but they are lost when handled by a bumbling hypocrite who doesnt live any of the things we espouse to.

His long term damage to conservatism is far greater than the short term benefit of him winning again imo.

Trump picked him... they voted for Trump's guy. They did what Trump wanted and you are blaming them?

11 hours I believe and while being quizzed by a former prosecutor, Trey Gowdy, never pled the 5th or refused to answer a question. When it was over even Gowdy admitted he could find no wrong doing.
