After what's happened the last few years and the events of yesterday I don't think it is. This is no longer a free country and hasn't been for awhile. I personally haven't celebrated Independence Day since 2019 and will no longer stand for the National Anthem at events. I had stopped putting my American flag out. I decided to get my American flag back out this morning and it is now upside down outside by house. Considering buying a Confederate flag and putting that up next to the upside down American flag or just replacing the American flag altogether. Maybe put up a Betsy Ross flag or Don't Tread On Me flag. What is your view on the flag now?
Why do MAGAs even need the American flag anymore when they have so many Trump flag options, anyways? Isn't that even more American, somehow?
Never. I'm a conservative and I'm not happy about a lot of what is transpiring, but I will never hang our flag upside down. USA is still the greatest country, even with its warts and flaws. We have many flags that I alternate depending upon the season/occasion (Bucs, Rays, Lightning, Gators, alma mater, kids' colleges, etc.), but I primarily fly the stars and stripes. Too many of my family members and friends dedicated their lives to our country and I could never dishonor them by flying the flag upside down.
We have a traditional American flag on our front fence. Independence Day, we put out several more. My gator flag has faded so we’ll need a new and bigger one soon.
Upside down? That's weak sauce man. Burn that thing in front of city hall in full Trump garb, call the local news and make sure there are plenty of people filming it too. Prepare a manifesto in case you are interviewed.
If I had posted this kind of nonsense the mods would have deleted it sending me a snot gram about it. As to your question, and I know you’ll disagree, the flag should be flown right side up, and should never be attached to a pole that’s being used to hit a Capital policeman.
I fly mine 24/7, have for several years. Purchased a 30 foot pole, 4x6 American Flag, Solar powered lighting so it says lit up all night. Not always proud of some the actions by fellow Americans, but until the Constitution is totally burned, will always believe in this country and our promise to try and be better tomorrow then we were today.
