You need a history lesson. Step 1 would be what led to the end of the Ottoman Empire. That is pretty easy.
You know what ex-president has never had the FBI raid their house? Well, all of them except one. But most notably, Bill Clinton.
So let me ask you this. What is one thing that uniquely binds all Americans together? It's not race/ethnicity. It's not language. It's definitely not religion, politics, heritage or even cultural norms. Most populations in a country have at least one of those aspects if not multiple. What makes a conservative American have more in common with a liberal American than a conservative in England, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, Japan or South Korea?
If you are not an ethnic Hungarian, Orban isn’t going to want you. Poland? That was the country that was most welcoming to concentration camps. Maybe you could do the March of the Living and see what right wing zealots did in the Europe you say that you hate, but now want to move to?
Trumpism isn't conservatism. Mitt Romney is conservative. Trump is a populist authoritarian that admires dictators throughout history including Hitler.
I'm very familiar with their history and the March of the Living. That has very little to do with the Poland and Hungary of today. I've been to both and they are some of the most wonderful countries in Europe. Far better than Western Europe. Beautiful cities but also very welcoming people. Nice people but people who are still traditional and who will stand up for their values, traditions and what they believe in. People who will not let other dictate their history or let others tell them what they are. They are proud of who they are and won't ever hide it. Hungary will be the easiest as you just need to establish permanent residency (the difficulty will be that I would still need to technically be a U.S. citizen for 8 years) for 8 years and then I can apply for citizenship. It does help that I do have Hungarian and Polish (along with Italian) heritage on my dad's side. Explains why they were so devoutly Catholic (my grandmother on my dad's side would attend church each Sunday and several times during the week. she would attend the Latin high mass on Sundays).
Conservative has become a completely ambiguous and meaningless word. For some it means nothing more than loyalty to Trump.
How many laws must Trump break before you agree he should be investigated for his crimes??? He took boxes of classified documents to his private home and destroyed many others by burning them or flushing them down the toilet. Why would an innocent man do this?
At what point does our entire country of 330M people say enough is enough - Trump is not above the law.
Mitt Romney is nothing. He is a politician. I'm sure after pretending to argue with Democrats during the day he has drinks with them at some hidden bar. One of my biggest regrets is voting for that scumbag back in 2012. I almost didn't vote and in reality shoudn't have.
Kevin McCarthy is threatening retaliation against the Attorney General on Twitter. Can't have the FBI turning this country into a Banana Republic though.
