Im Pumped

Football and basketball tend to define how we view the sports year, and it's not hard to imagine those being fairly uninspiring seasons, even if they set the stage for better days in the future. I can very easily see football with a 7-5 regular season and the basketball team missing the tournament, while both make meaningful strides in a number of key areas.

 

If football is headin the right direction, I can enjoy all those other sports. But it does me no good to tell my Alabama employee to suck it, that our gymnastics beat your gymnastics

 

Do it anyway.

Golden is very sharp and players love and respect him. A few breaks and he will soar.

Napier is making me proud so far. Going to be a fun ride.

Couldn't tell you with softball, but I am having trouble controlling my excitement for the upcoming baseball season. Add two nice portal pickups, Sproat and a couple of other key cogs coming back to an already talented group, and I think we will make a serious run this season.

 

As for bragging rights I only care about football. Not many other SEC school's fans will be hurt if we say our basketball team is better than yours, outside of Kentucky. Basketball is a big meh!

That being said, I love our overall sports program and the shear number of non-football championships we aquire. Gymnastics is the female version of football for me as far as bragging on women sports goes, followed by softball. No comparison to football obviously, but our gymnastics team is one of the most dominant gymnastics programs over the last decade.

 

Softball should arguably be more talented....added a quality portal OF to replace Lindsey, get Goddard back (the power bat we missed), hopefully get Hightower finally healthy, big time recruit Pollard replacing Adams. Everyone else is back....another year of experience especially for Delbrey in the circle

If it comes down to baseball and softball, I think we're in good shape. Our down years in those sports are better than many teams' best years. I expect softball and baseball to be very good this year though, even by our standards.

Telling him how our engineering department is better than Alabama’s engineering department doesn’t really upset him either.

 

He must've been hanging around my father, a couole days with him and itlm be ingrained in him. He does the same thing to my daughter whenever she's around her grandpa.... "RollTide" is all I hear lol

There was never a chance for that my dad being a bama fan is the sole reason I became a gator fan back In 1990. We had moved to Orlando in 1988 When he got out of the army so It was inevitable I was gonna be a gator and it's his fault

 

Baseball is right there on the "get excited" list! Softball may be great if the pitching improves as hoped.
