The IRS under his admin admitted to using political "themes" as reasoning.

And Lerner's hard drive just conveniently crashed.

And contrary to your post above, it wasnt just one employee

I don't believe it will happen. When was the last time we truly reduced the deficit?

And it also means the libbies are all for it. So much that they want to do it with a higher frequency.

Seems like they definitely want to audit more rich people, which is why all the conservatives are in a tizzy, so much so that conservatives are like "the IRS is racist, and you guys dont like racism, right?" Throwing out all the stops, even conceding America's institutional racism to try to own the libs lol.

I think mdgator05 did a thorough job of explaining how that came about. In case you missed the many posts giving you the info, I will do so again. The Republicans reduced the IRS workforce and demanded an increased effort at auditing those that receive EITC. I'm going to copy that sentence in anticipation of future need.

That would have been under Obama and again under Biden.

That’s cool. IRS will likely go after wealthier people and many might be whities.
I will vote a conservative in who will come in and immediately gut that dump of a dept once again.

Yes, that's literally why the GOP exists, to make rich people safe from taxes, all the other stuff is window dressing, congratulations on stating the obvious lol

Yes, you aren't supposed to form political tax-free organizations. So they looked for explicitly political words in the titles. And while most of this stuff is gaming the system (explicitly political organizations pretending that they aren't), it turns out that Republicans more often put political words into the title.

It was a group, and the policy came from the head of the group, Lerner.

There is no indication that either of those locations were related to the initial targeting decisions, which is all that is in question.
