From the flipside, it’s very telling that the crew who called out church goers during the early days of Covid as unempathetic, callous murderers are perfectly happy to allow continued sex going during an epidemic related to sexual activity. I wonder why that was?

I don’t know if the OP was meant as a troll or not, but the last couple minutes of the video raise an important question: Can public health policy ever supersede sexual freedom? During Covid many people on TH felt it was perfectly fine for public health policy to trump religious freedom and gathering together. Can the greater public good ever be more important than sexual gratification?

 

Want to know why? Because your's is a false equivalency. It's also a crass appeal to hypocrisy.

Sexual activity is also a transmission vector for COVID. Did the homophobes on this thread also condemn heterosexual people from hooking up during the surges? No. Now that's hypocrisy.

Did "the crew" happily allow continued sex during covid? Yes. Now that's NOT hypocrisy.

There is a significant difference between the two scenarios you're comparing. COVID is airborne and has a 10x higher R0 than monkey pox. A 400 person congregation has a much greater chance of being a super spreader event than a sexual encounter. That is unless you want to envision a 400 person orgy with each person willfully interacting everyone else (160,000 interactions). The shear number of congregations in the US (350K) further exasperates the COVID church risk.

I've shared how this disease spreads on this very thread. It is not a STD. Can you not read or do you not understand?

It can be spread by making out or sleeping in a bed after an infected person. It can be spread by dancing, hugging, etc. You go straight for the butt. I guess because you don't approve.

This community in which it is currently spreading is not indicative of the disease. It's frequent close contact that causes the spread, not limited to gay sex. This outbreak could have been confined to swingers or frat houses if it had not started at gay raves in Europe.
