The one thing I’ll give Senator (I’ll take the fifth) Rick Scott credit is his consistency in his messaging m no matter how many times he’s exposed. He wants to sunset Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security but says Democrats are waging war on seniors.
The narrative that reducing Medicare costs is the same as reducing Medicare benefits has become a standard theme in advocacy commercials financed either directly or indirectly by big Pharma and right-wing superpacs as part of their campaign against allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices. The commercials also refer to negotiating prices for pharmaceuticals by Medicare as "government price setting" although they're also clearly not the same.
That may be the worst most disingenuous statement I’ve heard in a while. How do republicans live with themselves? Thank God my wife’s a bleeding heart liberal because I’d have to get out of any relationship where the other person believes this tripe.
They rely on their audience being complete dopes who will never hold them accountable, and typically they are correct. This is the reason these crooks love silo’d media, instead of challenging them on these absurdities they repeat the same propaganda. Its a wonder why Scott went on CBS at all, but he realizes he has an audience that either doesn’t see this or will just somehow dismiss it as “gotcha” journalism (because answering questions is now a “gotcha” exercise).
You got to give Rick Scott credit. He defrauded Medicare out of a few billion dollars and parlayed it into a governorship and Senate seat.
Does Ric Scott have fantasies/delusions of being President? Earlier this year he unilaterally released his personal platform for Republicans. Now this.
There's no politician I dislike more than him, not even Cruz or Hawley or AOC. Just a disgusting and dishonest man in my book. If he weren't from Florida, he'd be a back-bencher.
"Conservatives" applaud those that steal millions from the government and its people as long as they can own the libs
