This thread has turned into a swamp gas thread and not a recruiting forum thread ... I hate fsu as much as anyone but Bowden discussions at this point seems a topic for swamp gas. .anyone have any Twitter / gator recruiting info to share here?

I find the game more interesting and enjoyable than immersing in these types of issues, but I'm not you. I just find the topic of coaches and athletes being of bad character stinks of the aroma associated with the political spectrum.

But to be clear Antny, 99% of the time I enjoy and respect your posts. Merely have a bit of a different opinion regarding this kind of stuff. No offense intended.

 

Did the predicted commit on the 10th fizzle out (Baxter) or get rescheduled (Collins)?

 

Can't agree on everything but yes we generally see eye to eye on things. Just to clarify there is NOTHING political or inherently prejudiced towards athletes, race , privileges etc in my comments. The acts speak for themselves but I will leave it at that.

 

Hi Wanne. Look I'm a bit hypocritical when it comes to rapist and Jimbo the enabler, indeed those two pushed the envelope of decency and criminal justice. I took my shots too.

I just find it difficult when our board takes shots at others all the time when our own house is filthy. (See Hernandez. Convicted murderer and suicide)

But it's s message board, and if the Fandom wants to fill pages with that type of stuff, so be it. Guess I came across as preachy.

But this is precisely what opposing fan bases go right to when disparaging our team. It's their goto bc that's about as bad as it gets over the last half of century or mmore. Hernandez is the mud topic they start slinging when wanting to talk about UF. If it's not Hernandez then it's our string of fired coaches we've had since urban was curb stomping them. Either way that's what rival fan bases do. They rag on each other's teams misfortunes

 

I wouldn't say you were being hypocritical. You might have been "guilty" of comparing a barrel full of rotten apples to few rancid oranges, but I doubt anyone questions your sincerity or honorable intentions. Just sayin.'

 

The murders and suicide happened after he left UF. There is nothing to suggest he murdered or even assaulted anyone as a Gator player. So please stop trying to fan flames that don’t exist. It serves no good purpose

Big difference is that happened years outside of being at UF and the fact that I don’t think there’s anyone that condoned that behavior or tried to cover it up. If that happened at UF, it would be a different story

 

I honestly never heard of anything about the 10th till a few days ago. I mean we ALL know where Baxter is headed and with Collins, man screw it, we get him

 

I think he’s referring to something Webb said on a Twitter spaces after FNL...that someone- at that time -
Had not announced a commitment date but Webb said look out on the 10th of august - or something like that.
