I don't buy the "he left because of a leak" argument. That's silly. We've been on a pretty good roll lately. No reason to worry. If he goes to OSU instead of staying instate, OSU dropped major coin. As Skink noted, we aren't going to play the "highest bidder pay to play game". Good for us. If the kid goes to OSU over money, it will be their ass in chaps after he gets the $$, then gets sick of Columbus and that crappy weather, and comes back to Florida. But I'm not giving up on him until he signs.
View attachment 103793 Personally, I'd still like to have Dijon in the class, as long as we don't get into a bidding war to land him. But yes, the drama queen BS that has engulfed CFB recruiting turns my stomach.
He’s a +1. I would love to have him but our DB class is great with or without him. So I am just watching this one and not worrying about what happens.
I hear you but with Denson OV’ing to Bama in the fall and Gates with Michigan in his ear, id consider Dijon MORE than a +1
No lie though. Every time we make a hire or bring someone in from UGA i can’t help but get this sneaking suspicion that they’re here to sabotage…. Like sleeper cells…
If we lose a flip, it changes everything. We might not do bidding wars but our commits aren’t protected from other big money offers. To me, it’s kinda like we don’t negotiate with terrorists, that is until it becomes necessary. We won’t be in public bidding wars and drug through the mud but we certainly will have to up our ante here and there or we will lose recruits.
agreed. I never spoke on it but i think that’s what happened with the Jaden Rashada recruitment. Offered a big amount but didn’t do more because we knew we could spin back around to Marcus Stokes
