It’s not a stupid analogy, when left up to voters, they elected reps who enacted “separate but equal laws” and laws against race mixing…. It was SCOTUS that undid those laws and many others. Now you are saying “just leave individual rights up to voters, what could go wrong?”

Again, swing and a miss. When you make dumb analogies expect to be called out on it.

Valid analogy. The issue is whether states should be able to limit individual rights, in this case it's the right to bodily autonomy based on the theological concept that a zygote is a human being from the moment of fertilization.

So am I. I however know that a fetus is not yet a baby.

Sounds like a partial birth abortion. Almost none of the people supporting women’s bodily autonomy are in favor of those unless there are very strong good reasons.

If the Kansas constitution didn’t already contain a right to privacy, do you think the far right leaning Kansas legislature would have put it on the ballot for a vote despite 2/3 of the people wanting it there?

    Doubtful, highly doubtful.

You're referring to Dr. Kermit Gosnell. As a point of information this is what happened to the good doctor (I'm being facetious by the way) who actually was convicted of murder for performing late term abortions and killing babies who would have otherwise survived. It's an extreme example and you should know better.
Doctor Starts His Life Term in Grisly Abortion Clinic Case (Published 2013)
Even under Roe late term abortions of viable fetuses who would have otherwise survived were virtually never performed. The extremely rare exceptions involved cases in which continued pregnancy would have jeopardized the life of the mother and the fetus would have died in utero or immediately after birth.

Yes, your bad for insisting on emotionalizing it by call a zygote a “baby”.

This is the problem that they are starting to run into: pregnancy is fundamentally risky. More risky than abortion. So, defining when life of the mother applies and when it doesn't is nearly impossible. So they are left with a choice: essentially toothless, virtue signaling legislation that does nothing they claim it will do or force dying women to continue the pregnancy despite their health risks. Some are voting B.

Well, I guess Kansas wants to join the madness of the long list of nations who have willingly participated in infanticide. Let history bear record that they chose their own judgment.

Actually, Kansas registered a record number of women voters who stood up against being classified as 2nd class citizens by the state.

As opposed to nations that have willingly (or grossly negligently) participated in matricide.
Death of a dentist in Ireland denied an abortion has worried doctors who say history may repeat in U.S.
Polish state has ‘blood on its hands’ after death of woman refused an abortion

That is just a clump of words that conceals violence.
