No. He didnt celebrate Till's death, i consider one worse than the other...but I certainly should have called him out sooner. I'll own that.

You're talking to people who think BLM and Antifa rioting, burning down towns and cars and carving out a literal chunk of land and taking it over are the good guys and peaceful truckers who block an intersection are racist, bigotted pieces of garbage.

These people are not worth your effort. I could bring WAY more to this forum but its simply not worth dealing with the type of mentality these people have. I mean, were having a discussion about whether its ok to wish death upon someone you simply don't agree with. They are not good people.

You sure are tap dancing around that one, then… just tell us what you think. Are the you ok with people “dancing on the grave” of the Al Qaeda leader or not?

Exactly. There's about half a dozen ghouls on here that have no problem celebrating a death and inevitably bring up whatabout the Obama era or use the victim card to place blame on conservatives. Unbelievable.

I think it’s been established we all celebrate (or at the very least shrug our shoulders) when certain evil people die or are overtly taken out by their own actions or circumstance.

Literally the only thing this thread establishes is that some pretend they are above doing this (classic virtue signaling), or don’t draw their line at seditionists for whatever reason.

Some of the virtue signaling in this thread is about as strong and credible as Ted Cruz offering thoughts and prayers after the latest mass shooting.

The problem is some of you have a loose definition of "evil people".

So far - I only see the "evil" tag pushed upon conservatives who protest. Liberals, or the people they claim to be the protectors of, can shoot at police, assault police, burn buildings, flip cars, take over cities, murder people, loot etc etc etc and some of you will act as if they were angels sent down from heaven who can do no wrong. It's absolutely wild that this is truly how the world is but here we are.

Hitler, Hussein, bin laden etc were evil people.

Jackie Walorski was a misinformed politician smitten with a canard.

Her aides were simply doing their jobs and traveling with her.

As liberal as I maybe, I'll never condone celebrating her unfortunate, horrific death while her spouse, children, siblings and parents are in mourning at her loss. Human dignity dictates so.

And I can't believe some of you place partisan politics over basic human empathy while thinking your opinions are somehow more virtuous than hers or those who supported her. How self-unaware. Frankly, while I may agree with your politics more than less, I'll never agree with celebrating a loss like hers. It's embarrassing that y'all do.

No. I believe his death is justice and needed to save other lives and serves for the greater good. I don't however celebrate that we have to live in that reality. I celebrate no part of it.

I have to fire people sometimes for the greater good. I dont celebrate just because it is for the greater good.

One can both believe in justice and not celebrate the need for it.

First off. None of the criminals are good people imo. Particularly the arsonists and looters who caused the majority of damage. But you neglect that a lot of those criminals weren’t actually protesting anything, they were purely criminals and gang members taking advantage of the situation to loot and commit crimes. Not all protests featured criminals, in fact it was pretty clear in some cases the police were doing a “show of force” against the organized (peaceful) marches - which left the rest of the city wide open. That exact thing played out on live TV where an upscale Cali mall was basically looted on live TV with “smash and grabs” all over the place with zero police presence anywhere around as the reporter walked up and down. These were straight up criminals having nothing to do with BLM or protests. Why do you think they had this wide open opportunity? I actually think it was somewhat by design.

The Canadian truckers, while certainly more peaceful and organized and seemingly free of anarchists and the same type of criminality, actually caused 3x the economic damage with their organized blockade. Did you even know this? Do you think that’s fundamentally different from the crazy group who “took over” the federal courthouse or the city block? It’s the same thing! Except the Truckers actually knew what they were doing and targeted economic pain (that’s kind of what a blockade is). So it’s interesting you focus on a relatively small potatoes (albeit crazy) thing with the police station takeover , and lament how unfair the world was to the “peaceful” group who caused $3 Billion damage to international trade in their own right. The overall damage of the BLM riots across the country was somewhat similar, and no doubt it was ugly, but as most of it was disorganized/chaos the main pushback is the organized marchers were not necessarily violent, the vast majority weren’t. The Canadian Truckers were also largely nonviolent, but they actually committed (essentially) an act of economic warfare which in terms of pure dollar amounts was actually quite a bit worse than the property damage from riots! The more lamentable thing from the BLM was the actual violence and loss of life.

The U.S. truckers that attempted a copycat were largely just a bunch of clowns who did nothing but make fools of themselves.

Justice for Jackie Walorski would have been to lose her seat in Congress (and face charges if she broke any laws), not to lose her life in a head on car crash.

I mean, you have to respect someone who can be thoughtful in the face of internet chaos.

A lot of people watched Patton. So replace George C. Scott with Tilly and see who watches past the opening scene.

Tilly is trying to turn Too Hot into Careful Thought.

Edit: I am sorry the nice congresswoman died. Feels like I need to add that to retain my humanity.

Well that’s obviously absurd. Criminals should face justice. Full stop. Anyone who is id’d and caught looting, setting fires, or committing violence should face justice. ANYONE. The only difference between BLM violence and 1/6, is for 1/6 the govt turned out to be pretty effective at finding just about EVERYONE, it was an all hands on deck federal investigation (and cameras were literally everywhere, people posting to social media, these things you’d think obviously helped reel in more 1/6 people… yet the numbers actually say far more total people arrested/jailed out of the BLM riots.

Obviously the BLM stuff is more scattershot across multiple jurisdictions, crimes were committed in darkness and it doesn’t seem there was the same type of internet sleuth manhunt, but my hope is all the crimes would be prosecuted from both. Admittedly I’m not up to speed on the “unsolved” crimes on either night, literally the only one that comes to mind is the pipe bomber from 1/6.

If a gang member gets taken out in gang on gang violence I’m generally cool with that similar to these other scenarios of “bad people getting theirs”, so long as no innocent bystanders are harmed. i actually encourage the govt to set up something organized in a secured location and let them play squid games or battle royale to see who comes out on top, since that’s basically the life they lead anyway. Im only half joking,

You should go to that thread then and be the same Anti Grave Dancing Warrior that you are here, because it kinda seems like you are being inconsistent with your outrage, which makes me question if it’s sincere or political.

I already stated my opinion that if Trump and his enablers would have been able to pull off their coup it would have been worse for America than 9/11 or anything that guy did. These two were on the level in mind with their intentions, just that one succeeded and one failed. Disagree with me if you want, I don’t care.

Huge difference between celebrating justice and what you are celebrating, but whatever man. Your own side is calling you out. It aint political.

I think your a good dude, just a terrible take here. Like sorta shocking take imo.

There is nothing wrong with being “called out” by your own side, it just shows not everyone agrees on everything or toes the party line. I’m celebrating what I see as a form of justice, too, if that makes you feel better.

I'm probably the last poster to stick up for @QGator2414, but his post was not a virtue signal. And I've called him out for virtue signaling in the past. ;) I will try to make this my only post on this thread, mainly because it's not a topic of interest for me. From my libbie/dem perspective, there should be no road other than the high road here. It was a tragedy and I will leave it at that. Others should have also, but failed to do so.
