    BS per your normal:

Governor Ron DeSantis Suspends State Attorney Andrew Warren for Refusing to Enforce Florida Law (flgov.com)

TAMPA, Fla.— Today, Governor Ron DeSantis suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren of the 13th Judicial Circuit due to neglect of duty. The Governor has the authority to suspend a state officer under Article IV, Section 7 of the Constitution of the State of Florida. The Governor has appointed Susan Lopez to serve as State Attorney for the period of suspension. She has most recently been serving as a Judge on the Hillsborough County Court.

“State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida. I have the utmost trust that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”

The Governor has the authority under the Florida Constitution to suspend state officials for reasons of misfeasance, malfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony. The Governor has further authority to fill that office by appointment for the duration of the suspension.

    The Suspension Order:

I know your trying your best to be argumentative, but he’s clearly answered your question in a respectful way. Unfortunately, that answer didn’t help your supposed argument. Sometimes you just have to let something go.
If it was meant to be it will return.

Not really. He is avoiding the question by absolving those that don't enforce the laws because they are ignorant to the law. And I wasn't disrespectful in any way.

The reality is that no law enforcement happens without discretion and the citizens of his county voted for him to utilize his discretion in law enforcement. Doing so did not violate anybody's rights. But Republicans have to get their weekly dose of dopamine from DeSantis doing anti-democratic things, so here we are.

Yeah, I am reminded about the parable of wrestling with a pig. Let me know when you have a logical argument to dispute something I said. I won't be holding my breath.

I didn’t think you were disrespectful, just not wanting to accept his answer.

DeSantis is not only a POS authoritarian, but a total a%%hole as well. Only a pissant would send a pre-announcement press release to simply fire someone. Then have his press sec. bring up politics in the Gov. press conf. You don't treat people that way.

agreed. Maybe he had the authority to do this, and maybe he had justification as well - as a non-Floridian, I don’t feel compelled to answer either of those questions. But his obvious use of the powers of his office to score points in the media at the expense of others is unbecoming & classless

Because it isn't really an on-point answer. Yes or no and some explanation answers the question on point. The problem is that neither answer is helpful to the case that prosecutorial discretion by elected figures should get them suspended. Yes makes the position look silly and no makes it look hypocritical.

The reality is that these abortion laws are fundamentally unprosecutable. Build in a life of the mother exception with no parameters defining that and the thing is unenforceable because pregnancy raises the risk of death for a mother compared to abortion.

But DeSantis needs to throw a bone to the people likely pushing him for more draconian and unpopular laws, so he chose to substitute his judgment for the judgment of the people of Hillsborough County.

What laws? You mean imaginary laws that don't exist yet except in DeSantis' wet dreams?

Under current Florida Supreme Court precedent, the abortion law he won’t enforce is illegal. The stay of injunction preserves the status quo, but doesn’t change the illegality of the law unless and until the law is declared Unconstitutional. By refusing to persecute under an illegal law, the State Attorney acted correctly. DeSantis should be suspended or removed under the same criteria for insisting on enforcement of a law that is contrary to Florida Supreme Court precedent

Who will DeSantis suspend in Miami for failing to enforce his law against Cuban protestors who blocked major highways???

No one. Why? Because he wants the Cuban vote. He will only apply his stringent law against protestors he doesn't like and who won't vote for him. We always knew that was DeSantis' intent.

    Black >>> must be punished!
    Cuban >>> who cares?

Please explain DeSantis' blatant inconsistency in not applying his law against the Cuban protestors, who were "rioting" and blocking major highways. Crass political opportunism is no excuse.

That’s fair enough, and I’m sure that’s a major reason for Desantis action. Just like every politician does that as well. It’s just when someone agrees with something they don’t always see it that way.
When they don’t, they see it as blasphemy
It happens the same on both sides here. It’s just the left far outways the right here.

It's a clear message to any other State Prosecutor thinking about pulling the same stunt.

Ron DeSantis is the best governor in the nation. Second place isn't even close.

Or direct the arrest and prosecution of the "rioting" (as defined by DeSantis) Cubans blocking the streets and highways last year? Nope, they voted for Trump, they got a pass.

DeSantis removes Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren
