I never said I was the first to say it. But you did hear from me. Reality is going to set in rapidly for Clemson.

I thought that for a minute when I seen they only scored 3 points against UGA in the season opener but in hindsight outside of the Bama game that UGA lost the Clemson game was probably the closet game on the scoreboard as Clemson held them to only 10 points. Their QB play by DJ was a bit underwhelming but if they can shore that up they'll be fine. They are stacked with talent.

Beating Clemson will not propel either program into the national title race since they will both probably lose to some other nondescript team in the ACC as they do annually. Both programs will be sky high for Clemson, and both have experienced major talent improvement from last year.

Meanwhile HS players will want to stay in Florida if the big three become the big three again. This will help us against Oklahoma and Texas and the other SEC schools. It is great being the only SEC school in the state with the most talent in HS football.

I just don't think Dabo is the secret sauce and his best coordinator is gone. I sold my Clemson stock. But you're right. They have a ton of talent.

If they have a coaching gap from last year's shake up or if they have actually recruited/retained poorly for a couple of cycles, maybe. But their class so far this season is pretty darn strong so why would they fail? They were a decent 6-2 last season. Is something brewing that most of us don't know about?

He's married, so perhaps he just borrowed her?

many people thought they were done when they lost their new "offensive guru" Chad Morris but they just continued to win. I honestly believe with a weak conference, Clemson will be good up until Dabo leaves for the Bama HC position when Saban hangs it up. I mean Dabo is Bama's hometown homegrown player. Born I'm Birmingham, played for Stallings at Bama and won a title in '92. First coaching gig at Bama where he was for 8 years till he came to Clemson. When Dabo leaves Clemson will fall back some.

Is this "major talent improvement?" FSU is currently ranked 40th in recruiting.

And, last cycle they picked up only six 4*s and the rest 3*s.
