Wow, 9000 people dancing on Earl's grave, you have to wonder where we are at as a society

Calling out grave dancing is virtue signaling?

If it isn't, then its a meaningless concept or one that is selectively applied in bad faith

Those “no” votes were so bombastic… almost nobody recalls them actually happening! I guess they did these “protest” votes, and nobody noticed. Pretty sure nobody missed the events of 1/6/21.

I do recall people hoping for some “unfaithful delegates” at both the ‘16 GOP primary, and to a much lesser extent unfaithful electors at the general election (I recall it being pretty serious talk ahead of the GOP convention, not so much around the election) . Not sure of the legal theory behind it. In either case, 1/6 showed that the process is vulnerable to manipulation. This wasn’t a matter of convincing a couple of electors to vote with their conscious (perhaps a legally dubious ceremonial/procedural opening that led to full on exploitation by Trump’s “crack” legal team). Trumps nutters took it to the next level, launching an all out assault on truth, including attempting totally fraudulent slates of “alternate electors” to defy the will of the people in those states.

@BLING brought up Karma. I was expounding on that. FWIW, I would deflect too if I posted what you did.

So far, I've seen zero people support the Till argument so the count is pretty easy. We can't say the same about the celebrating violent death argument.

Sure. Why not? You view it as a virtue, and you are signaling it to other people with the hope that either they will view you as a better person or to feel better about yourself as a person. Why wouldn't it be?

Nah, I stand it by what I said 100%, I'm not going to pretend to be sad when horrible people die.

Pretty sad world you live in of you think the only reason to call out something bad is for self recognition. That's a you problem my friend.

Most of us arent "sad" when total strangers die. Even ones we agree with (or disagree with). What most of us are able to do is find a way not to celebrate it.

No one seems to say that when some college kid calls out racism or whatever, then its for attention or self-recognition. Cant be because racism is bad.

Quite the virtue signal right there, in fact.

So why do you think you called them out? It clearly wasn't about trying to make them more virtuous...especially given the fact that you have mocked "the left" in doing so...

Everybody does that. Thousands die every day without any of us celebrating it. Some people simply make occasional exceptions.

I am not virtue signaling anything. I am calling a spade a spade. If anything the virtue signaling is coming from the disgusting posts we have seen as they try to defend their remarks…

Lol. It isn't virtue signaling because I really am more virtuous than others is quite the flex. Be honest, how much more virtuous do you feel right now? I'm just here calling a spade a spade. And this spade is your version of virtue signaling.

I don’t feel virtuous at all. Saddened we have witnessed what we have on this thread. And it is bipartisan at that. You do not have to be a pub or a dem to see how ugly a few have been…
