Why Is So Little Known About the 1930s Coup Attempt Against FDR? There is still much that is not known about the coup attempt. Butler demanded to know why the names of the country’s richest men were removed from the final version of the committee’s report. “Like most committees, it has slaughtered the little and allowed the big to escape,” Butler said in a Philadelphia radio interview in 1935. “The big shots weren’t even called to testify. They were all mentioned in the testimony. Why was all mention of these names suppressed from this testimony?”
There is some debate over how "real" the plot was as outlined by Butler. There is no doubt that business interests organized against FDR and the New Deal in general though. You can probably trace a path from that to January 6th.
Thank you for posting that! Biden is no Roosevelt, but the types who hated Roosevelt and plotted against him are with us still, and probably always will be. Evil can never be eradicated.
