    There was a recent WESH 2 News Story on lack of AC in the Florida Prison System. Prisoners families complaining about lack of humane conditions. While at first glance one might think "you do the crime, you do the time", it has an impact on staffing who also have to work in those same conditions. Leads to understaffing and high turnover of guards.

    Its a vicious circle, as the conditions become more inhumane, the prisoners get more violent and unstable, leading to high staff turnover because of terrible conditions. And when you have system that neither wants to increase budgets to properly staff or clean up the mess or divert funds to alternative forms of justice, here you are ...
