Agree, it’s telling that they have to go back 60 Years to find anything a Republican has done that is worth mentioning. How many black president and VP candidates have the republicans nominated?

The majority of Dems voted for TCRA and a greater majority of Pubs did the same. Democrat/GOP Vote Tally on 1964 Civil Rights Act - WSJ

Dems controlled both houses but would not have passed anything without Pubs.

And then the Republicans nominated one of the no votes to run against Johnson for President. And that is the process that starts the re-alignment.

SEE #8. When looking back over Southern history, don't look at the name of the party, but at the mentality of those in it.

Hell, "conservatives" at the time were attacking him by calling him a radical Marxist. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

What a joke. MSNBC has no integrity.
They should ask Biden about his “if you don’t vote for me, you ain’t black” comment and then get back to us.

Oddly enough, Black people almost entirely started voting for Democrats, and the white "conservatives" in the segregationist states almost entirely started to vote Republican. Weird.

Well, 92% of Black voters supported Biden, so he wasn't too far off the mark.

Just stating the facts. I know you libs hate the facts. King was a Republican. And so was our greatest President—Lincoln. The democratic party’s history of racism and lynchings speaks for itself.

That comment is pretty awful, but are you sure it’s typical of the actual left and not just your brain’s version of the left?

Nope, I love facts. You keep talking about history because you can't talk about the present. Hence, why Black voters continue to reject your party.

He absolutely does, but that is not the point. The point is the hypocrisy of you for defending it. I’m quite sure that if Tim Scott, Mark Robinson, Herschel Walker or any Republican said the same of a Democrat candidate you and others on the left would already be peacefully protesting. But since you like what he says; “He has a right to his opinion”.

Walker is a legitimate moron. Elie has a right to be frustrated by Walker so I don’t blame him for lashing out in visceral terms.

You ever listen to Herschel Walker talk? The man is a joke. If Elie is wrong about something, it's that his comment was too narrow. As others said, Republicans don't discriminate in their desire for thoughtless sycophancy.

And your claims of hypocrisy are weak. I've seen Black conservatives make similar comments, such as Candace Owens comparing Black Democrats to slaves on a plantation. There's also Kim Klacik claiming that Black people "blindly" vote for Democrats. Something tells me you weren't outraged when that happened. And while I think they're stupid comments, I'm not about to go protest over what those clowns say.

Listening to almost all politicians will lead to the same conclusion. 99% of the time they are either not making any sense or you know that they are outright lying.

I do not care for Candace Owens much, and I did not specifically hear Kim Klacik say what you have noted. I do remember Klacik being attacked in some pretty racist ways by her democratic opposition.
