Certainly not the schools or conferences. They do not have that power and as soon as they try, there will be a lawsuit which they would lose.

Ok, so how does that relate to my post about UF not getting into bidding wars and pay for play?

 

I’m just saying all the relevant schools throughout the years have been paying for their players. Now it’s just all out in the open and it cost a whole lot more money. Even are sacred Steve Spurrier took impermissible benefits 50 something years ago.

 

That’s the connection I’m missing here Wanne - I didn’t read the article, and from what you said he took out a car loan in college and paid it back when he was in the NFL. That by itself doesn’t suggest he was being paid while at UF.

 

What I got from the article was probably that that car loan was not legit as to how me or you would’ve gotten a car loan in college.

 

Couldn’t have been too unethical if SOS ended up paying it off himself
