Don't care. I've seen what he can do. Just want to see him stay healthy, have a great senior season and graduate early so he can join the team for spring practice. I like the way things are going with four star prospects. 12, going on 13 with only two, going on one three star prospects and an average player rating of 91.15 seems like a great way to build a class without jumping into the bidding wars for the 5 star and high four star prospects, plus prospects at positions with scarce talent (like OL in the state of Florida.) It's easy to have a top 10 class without a single five star prospect but we won't be able to do it depending entirely on in-state talent. There are never enough OL go go around and rarely more than one or two great QBs, if any. IMO, UF will never "own" the state and nor do I think it's that important.
I’m only here to see how far this thread is gonna take the pet gator joke. That was getting out of hand
Yes. UF used to have a live gator mascot, in the fifties and early sixties. There were several housed in a small pond on campus; I don't remember where. But they did not get the best treatment or protection, and opposing fans would try to injure them. FSU fans spray painted them; rumor has it that Auburn fans cut the leg off of one. Auburn fans say the Gator fans did it. Auburn fans are a bit like Russians, it would seem. We had several small gators, and the guy that owned Alligator Farm in St. Augustine wanted them, and in exchange gave us a bigger one. I am not sure how long that lasted, before we gave up the live alligator mascot. But I would love for us to do it again.
Wonderful to have great speed at WR position. Coach having great WR success. Best WR class, not reliant on transfers, we have had in a long time. Go Gators!!! Excited for our future
Interesting bit of history. Thanks. I feel protective of Gators and respect them. I like them to be free to live where they want. No fences.
I agree about alligators being free, as long as it's not in my back yard. I've got a little wiener dog who probably wouldn't fare too well in that situation.
He's got the smoothest one cut juke without slowing down that I have seen since a guy named Percy. That is really rare. Of course, not the same build or role necessarily.
This weekend has been really something else... I was looking at the classes ranked ahead of us and many of them, like Arkansas, just have a ton more kids in their class. And a bucket load of them are 3 star kids. I don't want to rag on kids that are three star kids because we all have seen some of them transform into five star talent. But I guess what I'm saying - we're sitting pretty about now and we have more kids to add. There is something special happening around the program now and these kids get that. While there might be some attrition, we very well might be adding some studs too. Once we beat Utah, relevancy will likely bubble to the surface... Go Gators.
That was the first thing that jumped out for me when I watched this clip months ago. Also like the way he continues separating after the catch.
I hear you. And I love dogs. But I hate when people move in to Gator habitat and kill Gators to protect their dogs. Or their kids. lol But I'm a weirdo who brakes for snakes.
I hardily agree with preserving the natural habitat - no kidding, no BS. But Pensacola isn't exactly a hotbed of alligator activity in general, and the subdivision I live in probably hasn't seen an alligator that wasn't named Albert for some time now. Incidentally, Mambo (the afore mentioned wiener dog), sends his regards.
Not sure CBN is packing it in just yet on the 5 stars. Off the top of my head he had 4 5* from the '23 class alone. Cormani, M'pemba, the two 5*'s from Bama Russaw and Smith. And I'm not sure of the total for the '24 class but D. Ricks, DJ, Lagway, Justin Smith and the other WR who is a 5 star are a few I remember. He's going after the big fish and whether he's in a bidding war or just trying to plain our recruit them, none of that will matter if CBN gets his guys. And at this point I'm not doubting CBN and his army.
If that's true about Auburn cutting off a gator leg, then the whole tree poisoning was just karma biting them in the ass.
