Class Rankings

Hopefully UF adds Johnson and/or Sorey before Patterson flips to UCF. It will be fun to see UF with 14 or 15 four star commits and only one three star prospect.

 

Hopefully it ends up more balanced than Muschamp. Just need half the remaining commits to be OL and LBs. No question the Gators will get two or three more interior DL.

 

Where are all those folks that have consistently posted about Florida kids not wanting to stay in Florida to play collegiately? Man more than anything else I'm lovin this commitment list being basically all Florida kids! Then it being dominated by 4* kids.........Napiers well is way to checking almost all of my list of wants for a 1st full year recruitment class!

 

Honestly, they just gotta fix the OL and LB recruiting and this is one hell of a class regardless of the rankings (and given our NIL limitations compared to everyone else).

 

UF is making progress holding on to in-state kids but 17 out of the top 50 Florida prospects are committed to out-of state programs and seven to the Gators. The good news is that only eight of the remaining top 50 are committed to the other in-state programs. Better still, only two are committed to fsu.

Billy said he would surround the State and he is doing so. Implementing his plan in year 1. Imagine what this will look like in year 3 when things are humming

Or the folks who say we can’t beat Miami for anything, Cristobal is god, billionaires vs UF millionaires, blah, blah, blah. This kid is from Miami for crying out loud. Imagine if Cristobal stole a kid from G-ville.

Everybody just needs to chill. Billy didn’t come here to finish second to Ga, UM or anybody else. But these things take time. Recruiting isn’t a tik tok video or an insta-reel. He’s getting there and doing it the right way from the foundation up. This will only get better with time, which is really fun to think about.

You also have to factor into Muschamp classes the imbalance and recruits with career ending injuries while recruits, just like the Mullen #7 class with multiple non qualifiers and at risk character recruits.

 

Didn’t we lose half a class one year with Mullen. ? But you know how those guys who are the smartest guys in the room are .

 

Jean seems likely to get a bump in the player rankings. Just read this from 247.

"While Jean might currently sit outside the Top247, he’s a prospect that the team at 247Sports is planning to keep a very close eye on in the coming months with the Bulls set to square off early on in the season against nationally-ranked Venice (Fla.) and nationally-ranked Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep."​

Billy Napier and Florida beat out Miami for WR Andy Jean

Taking a step back and looking at the big picture, this is a monster win for Napier and the Gators. Florida has yet to really pull anyone out of Miami-Dade since Napier took over for Mullen and it’s not like Jean isn’t someone that Miami – and others – wanted.

Jean joins a UF 2023 recruiting class that’s challenging for a spot inside the top 10 of the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings after a recent flurry of commitments.

So I take back what I said about On3. Our rank with them hasn't moved off of 13th since adding mizel. So nothing for Castell or Jean but we moved up a lot on 247. Smh
