So, I always figured DeSantis was a slack jawwed troglodyte, but he now wants to drag all of Florida back into the cave with him.

Will be really great when state pension funds go under because it cannot invest in any company that actually makes money on the global stage since Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance issues are huge on the world stage.

Guessing this is his way of acknowledging that he has no intention of running for a National Office then, right?

I would agree that Florida "continues to lead the nation". But for a different reason.

I wonder if we covered DeSantis in Preparation H if he would shrink down to nothing? Bet he would.

So if the E stands for environmental, would that mean he's protecting Floridians against policies that protect Florida?

You guys do know you are a minority in Florida and becoming a wider minority by the day?

If any animal describes you, it would be an Ostrich. Whistling past the graveyard also applies.

Texas tried to force their morals onto banks. So far, it has cost the taxpayers over $500M in additional interest on bonds. How much will this punitive legislation cost the Florida residents if enacted? Do the DeSantis supporters care? They didn't seem to care about Reedy Creek, which, btw, is still entering into vendor contracts long past the supposed drop dead date for the state to shut them down. Does that ell you anything about the odds of any of this legislation passing the courts?

Environmental, Social Governance? Yeah, like politicizing Corporate America needs to be a real thing? I'm glad Ron is nipping this political BS in the bud. We need to extricate Corporate American from BS politics, not intertwine them.

Leave that sort of thing to the agencies tasked to deal with the environment. And social governance? Lol... Sounds like commie crap to me.

Nice understanding of the world. You are only about 25 years too late to "nip this in the bud".

What is Florida leading the nation in? Legislative proposals that contain the word 'woke' in them?

And what about abortion? Rather than announcing all these proposals to own woke liberal corporations, when is Ron going ban abortion in Florida?

They’re huge on the world political stage and among woke activists (media). For those that are serious about making money not so much.

Punishing businesses for the exercise of their speech. Just like thw fringe right to applaud such behavior. The institutionalization of oppression. State action to punish speech. Nice to see you applauding dictatorial behavior. Do you want to know how autocrats gain power? From people like you. Who cheer the destruction of freedom. Looking forward to the many years of litigation that will follow at great cost to the states. And we will see if the state can’t punish agendas. Even the announcement shows that the state action will be focused on some speech, but not speech the state agrees with. How lacking in a fundamental appreciation of basic First Amendment law can anyone be who would support this kind of proposal. I would say that such a person has to be stupid, but those who gravitate toward autocrats aren’t necessarily stupid. They support the oppression of those they disagree with. How shameful
