Rick Beato is a national treasure. His what makes this song great should be required viewing for teens and their garbage music tastes.

I don't know how you guys find the time. I barely have the patience to watch a video. Give me the article / summary where I can read a few paragraphs then click to something else.

My kids (my oldest in particular) really like him. The WMATSG series is the reason. She still listens to a lot of crappy pop, but is certainly open minded to the good. stuff.

Sure but with pretty much everyone using Spotify or Apple these days you can get pods, music etc all in one place.

Same with iHeart. Listen to radio stations/music/pods.

    You gots ta diversify gentlemen.;)

    To paraphrase Mott the Hoople:

“And my brother's back at home with his Beatles and his Stones
We never got it off on that podcast stuff
What a drag, too many snags” :D:cool:

I would recommend Econtalk. It’s the only one I still listen to. It’s a bit more in depth and includes less about current events and more about knowing the world and living a good life. The host is awesome.

In general I switched over to audiobooks. Unbeknownst to me for the longest time, it turned out my public library allows checking out books through the Hoopla and Libby apps, which have some great stuff.

Your list of podcasts has a good scatter, but mostly, I am trying to avoid anything similar to “news”. It’s hard to look back and find almost any news article from 2021 and think, man I’m glad I read that. I’ve been reading some older stuff that people still talk about. I just finished a book by David Hume (yes I’m a nerd), and I thought it was awesome and something I will be glad I read in a year.

If I'm going to listen to a podcast, I want to think about it. I use music when I don't want to think. And when I do want to think, I'm usually working. On the rare occasion I'm not too mentally drained by the end of work, I usually just go read news articles.

People on here are posting very serious and high-minded podcasts, and I suppose you would have to think about those, and I do enjoy those on occasion where my attention is undivided. But there are plenty of podcasts that are just a bunch of bozos yapping about inconsequential matters, it can be relaxing and easy to tune in and out of without missing much.
