Singer was nasty tonight with complete command of three pitches. Obviously deserved better fate but he is really developing into a sold starting pitcher.

And in typical KC Royal fashion, Aaron Judge walked it off for NY with a HR in the 9th.

He is finally throwing his change up. Finally gives hitters something else to think about as they were zoning in on his sinker/slider. Change up has completely changed his game and he will admit as much.

Back in the day at the Mac I had the third best view of the pitches. The catcher and the home plate blue had better looks. @wingtee will vouch for my claim.

Anyway I had the seat next to me open and invited a scout down and Singer threw a really nice change up. The scout turned to me and said "You will have to wait a long time to see a better college change up".

I told him to come back tomorrow and watch Kowar pitch.

He sheepishly gave me a look after looking at his book that said that he was just pwned.

He is definitely throwing his change up more and that has helped but the key has been better control. His walk percentage is down a whopping 32% from his first couple seasons and obviously with better control comes better location of all his pitches.

Walks down 32% is a great leverage for him for sure.
