I know quite a few conservatives who voted for Trump. Some are old and some are young voters. Not one of them thinks that Trump won. Why do you guys continue to repeat CNN talking points without doing better research.
I definitely didn’t prove your point, and the Democrats are definitely not saying that all or most whites are racist. Let me make a suggestion to you. Take a course in critical race theory if you can find one. It will help your critical thinking on the subject.
Most Republicans still falsely believe Trump’s stolen election claims. Here are some reasons why. - Poynter
If they are saying we are a racist nation, would not that mean that a majority of the controlling class, and in this instance, whites, are racist? Whether that is what is intended or not, that is what is perceived, and it isn’t an illogical perception. It’s not the same thing as saying the US has a history of systematic as well as explicit racism, which would be absolutely true. The remaining disparate current outcomes between races is largely due to our history of systematic racism. But given where we are, it is not something that can easily be fixed by the historical offenders (whites). It has to be driven primarily from the black community, with the help of various incentives. It won’t be fixed by a perpetual status of victimhood. The result is we will likely have disparate racial circumstances for a long time, and the CRTists will say we are always racist.
Most people / whites. You get to the uncomfortable dichotomy of either you are supposed to feel like a guilty racist, guilty for the sins of the past, or else you are even more of a racist for not buying into the guilt and victimhood. That isn’t a healthy formula for actual progress. Yes you can still find some instances of systematic racism, but it mostly residuals of past systematic racism. I think it is nonsense to assert a country that would vote Barack Obama as president, twice, as racist. And as ridiculous as many conservatives views are on many subjects, I am sure that almost all would vote for the likes of a Ben Carson over any Democrat.
You are qualified to weigh in on how white people think about things? I think you speak for yourself and are projecting that because you want to imagine people agree with you. Pakistan had a female head of state … would anyone posit that it’s not a deeply misogynistic country?
My opinions of whites perceptions are from listening to various views on the subject from both sides. Your Pakistan example is an interesting point but not exactly the same. I tend to think most people are biased, and some racist, but for most those biases are so far down the food chain in priority that they don’t move the needle.
Poll after poll has shown that most republicans think the election was stolen. This isn’t even up for debate.
