That's a bit of a generalization, don't you think? What would you think if I said, "All Republicans care about are grabbing (kitty) and sticking it to black people?" I bet you'd think I was an asshole.

That's hilarious, though I would have suggested several laps.

Employment is still likely strong. Whether we are currently in a recession likely won’t be determined until the future as weird as that sounds. If the economy tanks even further then it will probably retroactively be declared a recession.

Larry has a 3 tweet thread, basically saying inflation remains the real threat. Noah Smith agrees, and goes into more detail. Still perplexing on inflationary front. So many signs that core seems under control, but demand keeps roaring

What a recession! 528,000 new jobs and a 3.5% unemployment rate.

I was going to use this article to bump the old Disney thread pointing out that once again a conservative attempt to boycott Disney failed but instead decided to post it in this thread since the economic health of Disney is considered a good barometer for the health of the overall US economy.

Despite Biden’s low poll numbers he’s had one of the most successful first two years of any President despite Republican opposition.

Jobless claims are at an 8 month high... Not good for our economy.

Less than 300,000 is considered a good number, last week was 262,000.

That’s rich coming from a party that is highly anti-LGBTQ, started an insurrection and has some weird cult like devotion to a moron who thinks you should inject bleach to prevent Covid. Don’t you guys have another nonsensical issue to get triggered about by now instead of actually doing anything that will better our country?
