Look. You claimed that Zeldin's attacker wasn't charged. You were wrong and people posted evidence of that. You claim that Trump ordered federal troops to the Capitol and that Bowser rejected it. You were wrong and people posted proof of that, too. But when you're asked to provide any evidence of your claims, you say you're not going to spoon feed us, it's not your role, etc. Which way do you think honest, mature and intelligent conservation should be held: Back up your claims or refuse to?
We post links here. We don’t repeat falsehoods and tell others to look it up. Except when there are other threads on the topics you try to divert to.
I see you switched terminology from "doing wrong" to "doing illegal". We'll see if he'll be criminally charged, but he sure "did wrong". In any event, you wouldn't know what Trump did and didn't do because you have said you haven't watched the hearings. Clearly, you "have seen nothing". I spent 40 years in the legal filed, and I have never seen any proceeding as comprehensive and fact intensive as the January 6 Committee's. Some say, well the witnesses have not been subject to cross-examination. There is some merit to that, especially when there is evidence a witness clearly lied on direct examination. I suspect a bit here or there could be seen in a different light had there been cross, but the scores of witnesses - almost exclusively republicans, including many from his inner circle, and a couple of those said they'd still vote for him - have been remarkably consistent. Cross would not change my certainty that the hearings have been fair and accurate, inconvenient though that might be for you who "have seen nothing". A president of the United States claimed - still claims! - that a fair election was rigged without any evidence whatsoever. He did everything in his power prior to January 6 to overturn the election. On January 6, he encouraged a mob to storm the Capitol and stop certification of the Electoral College results. He knew Mike Pence's life was in danger. He stood by and did nothing for over three hours. This is the most un-democratic act committed by a president in this nation's long history. That you are not outraged by this and continue to find one excuse or another not to condemn that attack on our democracy strongly suggests to me you don't believe in our democracy, and that, indeed, you might enjoy a more dictatorial-leaning country better. You and the others who share your attitude ought to be ashamed of yourselves as Americans for your shameless allegiance to party over country.
This all really is not that complicated. If Trump is indicted and found guilty at trial, he is guilty. If he is found not guilty, he isn't guilty. If he is not indicted, then it's either for political reasons or Garland and his handlers feel there isn't enough to indict, (in both cases he is not Guilty.). I know above seems very obvious and doesn't add nuance, but at this point in time, we really don't need nuance.
Typical, a come on man from Q rather than a reasoned refutation. Not a single fact was disputed in the highlighted paragraph. Thus, one must conclude they are accurate but unimportant to Q.
“On January 6, he encouraged a mob to storm the Capitol…” This is a flat out lie that you believe from the propaganda. The propaganda too his speech and spliced it so it could convince someone like you to believe something like this. This is not a legal hearing. This is a charade to demonize Trump. Nothing more. I hope people like Hutchinson are held accountable for helping the media peddle propaganda. Go watch his speech on 1/6. Go read his speech on 1/6. Don’t let sound bites be your source of information. If 1/6 was an insurrection…Trump would have had the military in place to keep him in office. This was not an insurrection. Those who did violent acts should be held accountable. But there is no compelling evidence that Trump tried to overthrow democracy. That is a hysterical view driven by propaganda…
Did Trump have the support of the military on January 6? Listen to the testimony. There was nobody left in the Trump cabinet that believed the Big Lie. Only sycophants like the Pillow Guy, Giuliani, and Powell were on Trump's side, along with a few seditionists in Congress and the Senate. Trump's other legal counsel thought Trump was crazy, and tried everything to stop the Big Lie, or as Bill Barr put it, "bullshit!" Had Trump ordered the military to attack on Jan 6, those orders would not have been followed. Trump would be guilty of treason without a doubt, impeached, and possibly imprisoned. Instead, Trump basically told the Proud Boys, 3%ers, and other para-military groups, that were armed on Jan 6, to "fight like hell," and head straight for the Capital. Is this evidence of that Trump committed a crime? In the opinion of many, yes. But in a court of law that requires even more evidence? Maybe not. But to say Trump did nothing wrong? That's head in the sand crap.
So unbelievable as to be sad, especially having formed your opinion without having even watched the hearings. Even Murdoch has condemned Trump. You're just making a fool of yourself.
The last thing I am concerned with is a charade to demonize Trump. I pay attention in passing. Mainly from the msm (good morning america). In the evening I might see the opinion of tucker occasionally. The lies from the beginning jaded me. Watching good morning america play Trump say we are going to fight and not play the full quote and put in context what he said ended any trust I had in the media and the purpose going forward. Believe what you want. I suggest you watch and read his speech. Then go research the timeline of the day. You may have too much bias to look at the facts with a neutral mind. But that is my suggestion. I understand you dislike Trump. You may think he should have handled the situation better. That is fine (we probably would agree on some of it). But spare me the insurrection and threat to democracy stuff.
Had Trump gotten the the US military involved, that would have been an act of war against the country. Therefore, treason. Sedition is what happened with just the non-military Trump supporters.
This is embarrassing. All you have to do is read up on it. You will find that it was fully Trump's intention to not relinquish power despite having lost the election. You will find that Trump took active steps to achieve this goal. Surely you can see that, right?
No. A political charade is not something I am going to watch with my family at night. The nonsense at the Capitol began while Trump was still speaking. I know you all want to think Trump was trying to overthrow democracy. There is no compelling evidence. It is just the tds and hatred for the man.
