Agreed with one exception - running Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and perhaps Newsom gives anyone who opposes extreme left viewpoints a very good chance of winning. I do wish both sides could get some normal, moderate candidates again.

Middle of the road would be things like recognizing states rights whether you agree or disagree with the state, focusing on education based on math, science and economics rather than race theory and teaching "gender identity" to 7 year olds, securing the border while addressing the obvious need to reform immigration, and actually fixing social security probably through lifting the income cap. If a democratic candidate proposed loosening immigration rules after securing the border, raising the SS income cap and addressing fraud, more funding for education based on actual subjects and most likely slightly higher taxes they'd get my vote over Trump. But they don't, they campaign on teaching my toddler about gays, amnesty for criminal aliens, blame gaming SS and similar platforms. Edit to add: they also campaign on making everything more expensive by taxing oil. I'm considering buying an electric car for my next car as technology improves and costs come down, but making oil artificially more expensive doesn't make electric cars more appealing to me, just makes me dislike the person increasing my life costs
Exactly. This isn't 2016. Trump was riding a huge wave of voters that wanted the long held establishmen of career politicians being the president to end. It's not a requirement and IMO, it's what hurts this country more than anything right there with the two party system itself. We need someone like a little bit of what Trump has that made this country run pretty well in certain aspects without the scummy corruption like a politician and a mouth like a racist narcisistic idiot. If he kept his mouth shut and never said one thing on twitter, he would be in office right now in a landslide against Biden. Now on top of that he let Jan 6 happen, it's over people. He's not coming back.
It really wouldn't have mattered who Biden chose as his VP. You'd be saying the same stuff no matter who it was. She was a senator and before that a DA for a large city. She had also run for president. She was more than qualified enough.
Biden has increased spending to the border again. How much spending is needed until it is "secure?" The notion that the border will ever be "secure" is absurd.
Clinton and Biden are center left, but nowhere near extreme left. Trump accepts support from whoever believes his LIES and will place his personal success over the country and Consitution. He has absolutely no agenda, other than self aggrandizement. The GQP literally had NO agenda for the 2020 election. Trump only wants personal power, enrichment and TV ratings. Nothing else.
