I started this thread because I wanted to point out a podcast my wife found that I have found fascinating. Several VC (venture capital ) guys give their takes on finance, economics , geopolitics etc. You get a set of views and insights not found in other places.

All-In with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg

Aside from that, in my rotation

    NY times Daily
    WSJ podcast
    Economist podcasts
    Bari Weiss Honestly
    Marketplace
    Sam Harris
    Freakonomics
    Ezra Klein show
Against the rules - Michael Lewis
    Revisionist History - Malcolm gladwell
    Planet Money
    The Dishcast - Andrew Sullivan
    Cover 3- college football
    Fareed Zaharia - GPS
    Fresh air - NPR

I don’t consistently listen to them all but they are in my rotation along with a few others.

Good list, although I wouldn't listen to Bari Weiss. Too many to list for me. I subscribe to over 50 current podcasts. I obviously don't listen to all episodes. Have to decide. Here is the list of those I try to listen to most episodes of (looks like images move over - sorry). Don't know what else to do without typing out

No politics or news podcasts. I sometimes listen to podcasts related to audio & music production, but not regularly.

I’ve enjoyed Old Gods of Appalachia.

My main two are Casefile (about murder) and Jocko Willink. I mostly watch YouTube short videos during the day. Mr. Ballen has a great channel.

I tried a Dan Carlin one. Either I need to start earlier or I just didn’t really relate to the podcast style

I originally majored in Biology before I changed to Physics, so always had a curiousity without pretending to have significant knowledge. However, reading/analyzing data is the same regardless of field, so I find it pretty straightforward to follow along.

Its pretty audio-booky, so I can see that if you are into more conversational podcasts where its not just someone talking at you for hours on end. I'm not a Carlin obsessive, but when he covers a topic I'm interested in, I usually listen to it eventually.

We have overlapping interests. I added some to my list I forgot.

While Bari Weiss can be annoying on her fixation on cancel culture and related topics, she does have so some very good ones. The last one discussion Republicans and their 2020 election fantasy was pretty enlightening.

    One year Daily Audio Bible
Defenders - class by Christian philosopher William Lane Craig (provides great theological education)
    WLC’s Reasonable Faith
Ask NT Wright Anything (Anglican theologian)
Unbelievable? - Discussions between various Christians and non-Christians
    Soteriology 101
    Remonstrance podcast

    Other podcasts
The Rest Is History - two British historians
    99% invisible
Irish History Podcast - love this guy’s enthusiasm
    Revisionist history
The ZdoggMD show - doctor covering a wide range of issues

For years I subscribed to The Economist online and listened to the audio version, but let my subscription lapse this year because it was too much to listen to every week.

Also just finished my 105th audiobook in seven years.

Good stuff. Economist has a daily podcast with a lot of good content. I love Word and Table for Anglican theology. Love 99PI and Revisionist History
