Calling EoW - Care to predict how much we jump after the BBQ / FNL ?

I know the 3 services have us at different levels. But I'm hoping for 2-3 commits in the 4 star range for most of them.

That would move us up nicely. Be nice to finish July like UF started.

I expect three to four commit and our ranking will jump to the low teens.

Mizell, Ja'Keem Jackson, and Jordan Castell will put us at 13th on 247 if USC doesn't gain another commit soon. If we get a 4th 2023 kid this weekend, we'll pass Arky for 12th

Heard that too but nothing concrete. I do wonder with him, why the big fish aren't beating down his door. His film looks nice but then again, everyone who post a HS clip is going to look nice in it

That’s crossed my mind too.. but who knows. Maybe that’s why they’re looking at him at safety instead of receiver… potentially good upside but won’t make or break the class

Wish they'd look harder at Turboo Hamilton but I guess they're waiting to see what Jean and Sorey does. Dude is right in our backyard and went from unrated to rated in the top 500 composite overall

Jaren Hamilton, F. W. Buchholz, Wide Receiver

I was actually wondering if Andy Jean coming into the mix hasn’t affected his and Patterson’s situation. Maybe schools are wanting him as an ATH and he prefers WR. I know Patterson is coming for FNL but I also saw he might be leaning towards UCF. Not sure how true it is or not though.

If Mizell, plus either Jean or Sorey do commit to UF, Patterson might be wise to pack a parachute. If all three come to UF, he'll very likely be headed elsewhere due to an increasingly over-crowded roster. We are already looking at the strong possibility of having to cut several non-contributors as it is. With the numbers crunch we're facing, it's hard for me to see us taking a flyer on a kid who may be a bit of a stretch coming in. JMHO.

I think it’s 105? For guys that aren’t on scholly. That’s 20 pwo’s over the 85. It’s going to be some extra guys trying to make that 85 after taking a shirt.

So maybe there will be five. My thinking on a FNL weekend is that somebody we're not expecting will get caught up in the excitement and pull the trigger. More likely is one or two highly ranked prospects leaning to other programs will get their heads turned.

I remember that guy from Whittemore's clips. He's very good. Too bad Creed won't be throwing to him this season. Somebody else will be throwing to both of them.

Not so sure about Patterson being excess baggage. The class is heavy on slot guys and low on outside receivers. Jean is the one who would be the odd man out if he wasn't such a great talent. I hope he can play outside.

Need speed and players that can stretch defense at WR. Have many bigger tall slot or possession receivers on roster. Need a few that can scare and get behind the D.

Yeah, the last I saw, I believe we were at or very near the 85-scholarship level, even after the departure of the three who were cut. Perhaps we'll have few who will graduate early or just read the writing on the wall and transfer out more or less on their own. But after a cursory glance at the roster, we just don't seem to have nearly enough slots coming open to bring in a full class of 25 or so FR HS recruits without some serious pruning between now and the final cutoff date for reaching the 85 scholarship limit in the Fall.
