Biden boasts as gas prices drop to below $4.50 per gallon well well. so many on here said he could not be held to blame for the increases, yet he has no problem taking credit for the decreases, hypocrite joe at his best, come on now people, rip him for this since you refused to blame him.
Does anyone believe that President Biden even knows how to "tweet"? That said, I did not really see what he supposedly took credit for anything.
Absolutely agree. If Biden is to be blamed for the rising gas prices he should certainly receive credit for the falling price at the pump although realistically he was responsible for neither. By the way this is a link to thread started by the OP of this thread blaming Biden for the then rising gas prices. gas prices, gas prices, and more gas prices.
I mean he's been literally burned in effigy about gas prices - god forbid the man takes some credit if they go down since he's been blamed ad nauseum for them going up...
I have yet to see a politician not taking credit for a positive trend usually economic for which he wasn't really responsible. Similarly, I also see politicians routinely blamed by their opponents for negative events, trends or conditions for which said politicians were also not responsible.
It does sound like he is giving his administration some credit, which would include himself. He did not say “I’m not done.” This is bad; probably worse than Trump saying that he saved more than 10 million lives by stopping a few flights from flying direct from China to the U.S.
You are probably right. I thought that was more of a general, rah-rah, statement disconnected from the gas comments, but I guess it could go either way.
You got an "off topic" for this while the guy above you mentioned Trump first and got nothin. Odd huh?
I agreed, but I pointed out that he did say “We.” His administration is trying to do a few things. They released some of the petroleum reserve. He is trying to get Congress and the states to waive gasoline taxes for a limited period of time. He flew to Saudi Arabia to try to get those pricks to start releasing more oil into the market. He has asked the oil companies to stop the price gouging, but he doesn’t appear to have considered price controls. The drilling leases that are being entered into likely will take a few years to start producing oil. He could try to stop the oil companies from exporting oil and gas, but that would be treading in dangerous waters. There’s not much patriotism left among multinational companies that are based in the U.S.
No president controls gas prices. Global Supply and Demand does. Any rise or fall in gas prices can be traced to a specific event, unrelated to the president of our country. Anyway, can't wait for the next gas price thread.
