7 minute video without the paid 30 sec advertisement Just wow. Minneapolis Police hunt down civilians with less-lethals from unmarked vehicles. Minneapolis is where officers murdered George Floyd. In fact, this happened after they murdered him. They shoot at man from an unmarked van, striking him in the chest, and the guy returns fire from his legally possessed handgun. When the guy realizes that it's the police, he gives himself up. This doesn't stop the cops from beating him anyways. They broke his orbital. Yep, he got kicked in the face until his eye socket was crushed. So, they do what they have to... and get their story straight that "he was resisting." At no point do you hear any of the other officers saying that hey, maybe you shouldn't beat a compliant man. The lawsuit alleged that the officers broke 17 department policies and the the officers lied on their reports.
It would be interesting to see the officers in that video charged and then hear their explanation as to why they were even out that night in open court. I am guessing this goes well beyond the idiots in the van.
That is Terrible Police work. They teach cops in plain clothes to call in uniformed officers when they need to stop or detain to avoid this very problem.
Body cam and surveillance footage. Remember, they got their stories straight after the fact and settled on he was resisting when they got to him. Warning. Violence/language
Its really not even police work, there was nothing legitimate about their actions, the police were basically criminals doing a drive by shooting! That they were shooting “non-lethal rounds” I guess makes it not attempted murder (so there’s that), but imo still assault with a weapon since there was no cause for it. Their actions kicking the guy when he was down are the topper, felonious assault and should be treated as such. Those jokers need to be fired, charged, and get some quality prison time. They are lucky they weren’t shot when the guy returned fire in self defense. That this guy even had to go through all this shows just how messed up the justice system is.
I'm pretty sure cops were doing it for fun during the curfews. There were a ton of videos of cops shooting rubber bullets at reporters, and even people in their own porches, seemingly just because they could.
I’m willing to bet it wasn’t those cops’ first time wrongfully beating someone senseless. The Blue Lives Matter coalition will be here shortly to remind us that not all cops are bad (duh)
