shes from Sarasota and her BF transferred here a few months ago (Jake Mitchell).
So the Ledecky thing didn’t hurt, but we might have gotten her anyway.

And this doesn’t suck. Arguably the best sprinting recruit of all time.

Well, UF and its associate head coach parted ways mid season.
A short statement by UF and that was it. Bad feeling we had another Cam or Tony. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt recruiting, which had been on a huge role.

    Great meet for the women.
Super freshman Liendo did not compete so lots of points for the men left off the board. Just a duel meet so assuming Liendo returns for the SECs I assume you count them to win that meet for the umpteenth time in a row.

Emma Weyant (transfer from Virginia) and Carolyn Pennington (transfer from Cal) are not eligible this semester as they transferred after the deadline; UF just got commitment from Elise Clift for class of 2024; her time in the 1650 free already qualifies for NCAA championship.

Best I can tell from reading SwimSwam articles is that our coaches don't know the timeline for the waivers.

If you are referring to Joshua Liendo He was eligible and participated in the UVA dual meet last week so I am not sure why he didn't swim today? If he had and swam the same times he did against UVA he would have won the 50 free and come in 2nd in the 100 Fly today. Those added points by Liendo alone would have been enough to give the UF men the dual meet victory over UGA 155-148. The fact the UF women could easily defeat a very good UGA team that comfortably without Weyant and Pennington is very impressive.

And the beat goes on...#1 men's and women's swimmers in the country join the Gators this recruiting cycle which likely helps UF to the #1 2023 recruiting classes for both squads. Stacking talent on top of talent at this point. This in addition to the #1 HS softball player and class, #1 HS women's tennis player, a world champion gymnast not to mention the immense amount of additional athletic talent across all sports teams arriving on this campus by the Fall really speaks to the coaching prowess and draw of the UF brand.

Great race tonight, Ledecky vs. 16 year old Canadian McIntosh. McIntosh got her in Toronto a few Weeks ago by .08, this was the rematch tonight.
