It’s a congressional committee. They can’t indict anyone. They can refer people and their alleged crimes for prosecution by DOJ but I don’t think they will even do that since DOJ is supposed to be investigating it too.
Call me a drama queen. Tell me I’m wasting my time. I watch them all. It is the history of my country. I watched the Watergate hearings, the Iran-Contra hearings, Clinton’s impeachment, the Benghazi hearings, both trump impeachments, and these J6 hearings. Important information in my efforts to be an informed citizen in my view.
I really don’t understand this new Republican talking point. I’m guessing Fox News or Newsmax is circulating this narrative that somehow Congress indicts people. Why are we explaining to grown adults that Congress is not a court, nor is it part of the judicial system.
Trump easily defeats DeSantis for '24 nod in Fla. straw poll of young conservatives he's not even polling well in Florida... Young cons polled like trump by a 79% to 19% margin. Further proof of how bad the Florida education system is.
Ok. Let me clarify because i chose my words poorly. My point is not that anyone interested In these political events is a drama queen. The idea of hiring a production team to presumably spice up the apeak and putting it in prime time is an effort to bring in the drama queens. My guess is you would watch it on C-SPAN with just the raw feed. You would not be who I was talking about. Sorry my net was so wide.
I'll repeat what i said. If Garland (DOJ) doesn't indict Trump, it will be because politically they (schumer, peolosi, biden) decided that a wounded trump is better than a Trump on trial. Garland will do what he is told
Garland doesn't answer to Pelosi or Schumer, nor do I expect he cares what they think (considering his background). He answers to Biden. I don't know how involved Biden will be in that decision.
That's your opinion. I prefaced my remarks by "if they don't indict Trump" when i started posting on this. Once again I'll repeat what i previously had said (for clarity). I said it would be best for the country, considering what happened on Jan 6th for the DOJ to go for it with Trump. I stand by my opinion that if they don't indict Trump it's for political reasons. And let's not kid ourselves to think that Pelosi and Shumer won't be involved with Biden (and ultimately Garland) in this decision. If they put political motives ahead of what's ultimately good for the country, IMO that is very bad..
Fox News has you guys thinking the 1/6 Hearings were produced like summer blockbusters with explosions, CGI dragons, and special effects. Lol Trust me, brother… it just looks like normal Congressional hearings.
No apology needed. I was offering my perspective that differs from some on the thread. With rights come responsibilities. With my right to vote comes the responsibility to be informed. I watch it all. (and read)
Wait. Murph. You think I watch Fox News? You have me confused with City No, Fox wont convince me of anything because I never watch it.
Part 1: 8 Burisma board meetings. Part 2: 8 episodes of Hunter snorting cocaine. Part 3: 8 episodes of Hunter in rehab. Part 4: 8 episodes of Hunter’s laptop being repaired. I would rather watch the 32 part series of the Trump children. Part 1: 8 episodes of Eric and Junior killing rare rhinos with bazookas. Part 2: 8 episodes of Junior’s girlfriend screaming at the top of her lungs. Part 3: 8 episodes of Ivanka putting on her makeup. Part 4: 8 episodes of Barron Trump growing to his full height of 8-feet tall.
IF laws were broken why hasn’t anyone been indicted? Again, it’s a dem DOJ. Show me the indictments or it was a dog and pony show.
There’s more to indicting a former President than simply finding probable cause. Especially one who has a dangerous nationwide mob on retainer. I’m sure you know this, so there is no need to pretend this isn’t a consideration.
